Flash Back

The year is 1985 and it's the American Music Awards. First off The whole night was amazing. I was young but thankfully my parents was really into music and my dad taped it. The night was was full of amazing performances from hall and oates, tina turner, Lionel richie ( Who hosted too), pointer sisters, and Shelia E ( Who's performance had me in amazement because her drum sticks was glowing different colors and I thought it was the coolest thing ever!) as  Lionel said it was "OUTRAGES" . But Lets talk about the man who closed the show, That's right the Purple man Himself prince. Dress in what I thought was a awesome green outfit,Purple Rain era Jet black curl hair and perfect eye liner on display, His Baby ( his white cloud guitar ) in hand he takes the stage. One eye almost covered by his hair. while the other eye scans the audience .  The Background designed like the Purple Rain Album design. Prince takes the stage and gives a performance of Purple Rain Like he had never done before, like he was never going to sing it again.

One of the best Guitar moments happen with him making that guitar talk, followed by him kicking the microphone stand ( Seriously what was it with him kicking microphone stands? I seen it a couple of times, what they do to him? lol, but seriously it was amazing) The audience waving their hands from side to side. If i was there i don't think i could stay in my seat. Til this day it's one of my favorite Prince performances.

Side Note: I know Prince got a lot of Flack for not going to the We are the World event. This was the same night as We are the world. Prince left it all on stage that night. If I was him I wouldn't blame him if he went home and went to Bed. What a night.
