"Where does she live, again?" Dan asks, glancing at Phil with tired eyes.

"I believe the street name was Hedley," Phil answers, yawning afterwards.

The two men didn't get any sleep on the flight, having been nervous about how things would work out. They hadn't told anyone they were going to Vancouver. Nobody knows where they currently are.

Dan and Phil get a cab to a fancy-looking hotel, deciding to rent a room before doing anything else. They use the Canadian money - which they had gotten after trading in some pounds - to pay for their suite. Given the key and a number, they make their way up the elevator to the fourth floor.

Dan unlocks the door, pushing it open to reveal a king-sized bed, the best view of a sunset from the balcony, and the most beautiful grand piano.

"Jesus Christ, Phil!" Dan exclaims, taking slow steps into the room.

"You like it?" Phil asks, closing the door behind him. He drops their luggage and walks in behind Dan. Wrapping his arms around his waist, he begins to place soft kisses along Dan's neck.

"It's amazing," Dan says, smiling at his words, "just like you."

Phil smiles against Dan's skin, and is taken aback when he turns in Phil's arms. Their chests now touching, Dan wraps his arms around Phil's neck, closing the gap between their lips.

Dan licks Phil's bottom lip, and is quickly granted access. As the kiss deepens, Phil begins to step forward, pushing Dan onto the bed.

Hovering over Dan, Phil looks into those chocolate brown orbs. He whispers, "I love you so much, Dan. You're the best person in the world," before connecting their lips again.

As minutes turn into hours, and the sun disappears; You can probably guess what happened that night.

Phil awakens to the sound of a siren passing outside. He squints at the sight as he opens his tired eyes, the sun shining into the bedroom. Judging by the amount of light, they've definitely slept until noon. He feels movement beside him, and realizes that the blaring sound must have woken Dan, too.

"Good morning," Dan says, his voice raspy from lack of use. The sirens get louder, causing Dan to sit up. "Jesus Christ, is the world ending out there?"

Phil sits up beside Dan, wrapping his arms around the man and burying his head on his shoulder. "Make it shut up," Phil says, giggling slightly at his choice of words.

"Yeah Phil, I'll just give them a call and tell them to stop doing their job," Dan says sarcastically, causing him to get a pillow thrown at him. "Hey! That was uncalled for!" He says, before throwing it back at Phil.

After a small pillow fight, the two men get dressed and set out on their adventure to find this girl, Iris. They pass unfamiliar streets - stopping to take cute pictures or buy something from a store they don't have in London - before finally arriving outside the house who's address was on the letter they had gotten.

They both let out a nervous sigh before giving the doorbell a ring. After about five minutes of waiting, they ring it again. Still no answer. They wait around for another five minutes, before the door opens slightly, a small girl peering through the crack. She closes the door again - unlocking a door-chain by the sounds of it - before opening the door completely and staring at Dan and Phil with wide eyes.

"Hello!" Phil says with a smile, as Dan gives an awkward wave.

"Oh- um- hi," the young girl says quietly, shaking her head in the slightest way before looking down at the floor.

"My name's Phil and-" Phil begins, but is interrupted by the girl.

"I know you guys," she says, smiling down at the floor with a slight blush hitting her pale cheeks. "My name's Iris," she says hesitantly, looking up to meet their gaze, "Um- you guys can come in - if you want! It's just me here, for now . . ." She trails off, awkwardly stepping aside to give Dan and Phil some room to enter the small house.

Dan clears his throat, before finally speaking up, "This must be pretty crazy, having us just spontaneously show up at your doorstep. But, you see, we got your letter a few days ago, and I guess we just came by to- uh- well-"

As Phil sees Dan is at a loss for words, he jumps in, "We wanted to know if you'd be interested in getting adopted."

"By us," Dan adds on, "of course."

Iris just stares at the men in pure shock, before reality floats back into her mind. She covers her mouth with her small hand, her green eyes tearing up from happiness.

All she can do is nod her head, as she is at a loss for words. And when Phil opens his arms for a hug, Iris jumps into his embrace, wrapping her arms around his neck as her head rests on his chest. Dan comes around behind Iris, wrapping his arms around her and Phil, creating a group hug.

And for the first time in years, Iris feels a sense of security.
