Anywaaaay, sorry for keeping you waiting! I forgot how busy living the double life is. "Double life" being me irl vs me in the phandom (guess who's more popular LOLZOR).

Oh god okay here have a chapter:

It's a beautiful Saturday morning, with the sun shining through the curtains and creating little rainbows on the walls. Dan's head rests on his fiancé's chest, which is rising and falling from his soft breathing. The two men are still half-asleep, resting with their eyes closed and dreaming minds.

"Hey d- OH MY GOD MY EYES!"

Dan and Phil spring awake, catching sight of their daughter covering her face with a plate. They scurry to cover themselves in their blanket, which had fallen off sometime during the night.

"Iris," Dan says in a panic, "What- what are you doing home?"

"I- uh- L-Louise dropped me off- I-" She slowly pulls the plate down, looking over it. She speaks quickly, "Your bedroom door was open and- well- I just wanted food!"

"Oh sweetheart," Phil chimes in, giving Iris an apologetic look. "We'll be out in five minutes."

"Wish you could say the same about coming out," Iris mumbles as she walks away.

The men sit in a comforting silence until Dan speaks up. He looks to Phil and quietly says, "She has a good point, you know."

Phil squints his eyes at Dan, voice laced in confusion. "What?"

"Why don't we just come out, Phil?"

"Really?"

"Yeah!" Dan returns Phil's excited smile. "I know how long you've been wanting to do this for. And-" He looks toward the door, making sure Iris is out of earshot. Then looking down at the duvet and scratching the back of his neck, he speaks up again. "Even though I'm still terrified of receiving the reaction my family had, I know not everyone is like that. Actually, the majority of people in our lives are supportive of just the idea. So . . ." Dan bites his lip and looks up into Phil's eyes, his dimples becoming apparent from his smile. "Why not?"

The older man lunges forward, wrapping his arms around Dan and falling back onto the bed with him. "I love you so much," He whispers, placing soft kisses all over his face.

"Hey when are you g-" Iris begins, walking back towards their room. She immediately throws her hands in the air when she gets to the door, and walks away shouting, "Nope nope nope-ity nope!"

* * * (I fucking dare you)

By lunch hour, the family is sat around the dining room table. They've been discussing all things wedding-related; from who will be invited, right down to what colour napkins they'll have.

"So how will this maid-of-honour and best-man thing work? And who's going to walk down the isle?" Iris asks.

"I think we should walk down the isle together. What are your thoughts, Dan?"

Dan bites his pencil and looks up in thought. He then quietly says, "Yeah, I like that. And maybe we should have double the maid-of-honour and best-man?"

"Alright," Phil smiles at his fiancé with nothing but love, before sparking up a new question, "Who should we choose?"

"Definitely Louise!" Iris answers.

"Yeah I was thinking the same," Dan replies, "Plus, Louise would be extremely insulted if we didn't put her somewhere in the wedding."

"How about Chris and Peej for best-mans?"

"And maybe Zoe for our other maid-of-honour?" (This originally said Cat but look I have the power to come in and change things ok)

"Perfect! Now who should . . ."

Iris' phone buzzes in her pocket, and she excuses herself to go answer the call.

She answers without checking the ID, "Hello?"

"Hey Green Eyes."

A smile traces the brunette's face almost immediately, "Skye?"

"No, this is Obama." Skye responds with a voice laced in sarcasm. "Just kidding, it's me!"

Iris giggles, a small blush hitting her cheeks as she admits, "I miss you."

"I miss you too, babe." Skye sweetly replies, causing her girlfriend's blush to deepen. Though all colour drains from her face as Skye's voice turns serious. "Listen, I have a surprise for you. And it may damn well put you into shock, but I need to give you this. Meet me at that lame fountain, okay?"

"Okay," Iris says, unsure of how to react. "I'll be there in ten."

"Okay, I love you. Bye!" Skye ends the call before Iris can reply.

Walking back into the dining room, Iris grabs her jacket off one of the chairs. She then proceeds to make her way out of the house, saying to her parents, "I have to go. I'll be back whenever. Text me if you need me!"

Ten minutes later, the fourteen-year-old is within sight of the fountain. She spots her girlfriend, and a tall boy standing next to her. As she gets closer, she begins to question where she recognizes this boy from. His hair is the exact shade as her own, and his body frame is just as thin. She realizes all too soon why he looks so familiar. And just as their eyes meet, Iris stops mid-step, choking on her gasp. Through frozen lips, she just manages to whisper his name; "Isaiah."
