Beastly Desires (Chanbaek/Baekyeol)

The One

Standing at its full size the wolf looked very intimidating as it took each step toward the oblivious human who was trying to open the door.

"I guess we are st-" Baekhyun stated as he turned around to see the standing ebony wolf.

Its ears perked up and tail swishing slowly left and right while its canines stuck out glinting from the little amount of moonlight.  The muscles on its body tensed up as it cornered its prey back against the door.

A rumble echoed in the empty mansion as the wolf now licked its mouth, piercing strongly at the human presented in front of him.

Baekhyun confused about the sudden change in demeanor of the wolf looked at it with sudden confusion.

He tried the door once more but it didn't budge as if a spell was preventing it to open. Finally fear dawned upon him as he inched back and found the staircase to run up to.

Each step was followed by a bone chilling snarl from the creature behind yet it didn't use all its energy to chase the human. He wanted him to run, to lose energy, and to not struggle once he reach his prey.

Instead of running mindlessly, Baekhyun found a window, however shards of glass were broken on the carpet as he gulped and pushed himself out numbing the pain as glass dug in his palms. The adrenaline pulsing through his veins as he jumped out falling down with a yelp.

His ankles ached but he pushed himself up and trying in vain to escape. The gates before creaked too loud for his comfort as he tried to run away from this place this mysterious and chilling mansion.

Somewhere during his escape, his backpack was flung off but the loss of weight didn't help Baekhyun too much in running through the forest.

Blood trickled drop by drop onto the earth as the dry soil quenched its thirst. Now slowly the wolf exited the mansion-doors opening on its own and weeds shrinking away from his path.

The human wasn't far away and the a smirk made its way on the wolf excited that a game of cat and mouse will take place today.

On the other hand, Baekhyun pushed forward and once he heard a howl, he hid behind a large tree with bushes next to it. With himself pressed against the trunk he heard a soft rustling of bushes and sniffing sounds as Baekhyun held in his breath.

As soon as the sounds were heard, it was gone and it was dead silent again. Finally breathing,  Baekhyun calmed himself down and was about to think about his next step when a flash of black appeared and quick as lightning it was in front of Baekhyun.

The wolf took each step tauntingly slow and drank in the fear of his prey's eyes. Then something strange happened and Baekhyun couldn't help but gasp as the wolf approached mere inches away from his face.

Baekhyun sat completely still as the black wolf begin licking his face. He wanted to stand up and run but the wolf growled whenever he dared make a move.

What? What was happening? Perhaps this wolf is nice?

Then swiftly the wolf pressed its claws at the hands of his human and smirked. Baekhyun widened his eyes as the wolf dug into his cut causing more blood to flow.

Tears brimmed at Baekhyun's eyes as he retreated his hand right as the wolf pulled its paw up and lapped up the blood stained fur he got from the human.

The wolf lapped once more before its eyes stared straight at Baekhyun and his canines showed as he got closer towards the human's neck. And then finally the human spoke-and he thought he was deaf all this time.

"D-don't eat me." Came the very soft and unstable voice.

A tremble followed afterwards as the human tried to communicate to the wolf.

"G-good b-boy." Baekhyun praised as the wolf stopped for a second. Surprisingly, it made him feel proud but no he didn't care about what a mere human said.

"D-Don't hurt m-" the human tried to say when the wolf ignoring him and bit Baekhyun on the shoulder as he let out a choked whimper.

This is it. Good by-

Before the wolf can break the skin, he paused as he felt a tight grip on his fur held tightly by the human. Fast beating of his heart and the trembling of his shoulders.

But all that wasn't what made the beast pause-it was the slow painful clenching in his heart that made him stop for a moment. He wanted to murder this human, scratch his skin rose red, sank his canines in smooth white flesh, and enjoy the pleading screams of illusionary safety.

Yet he can't.

No matter how close he was-sharp teeth piercing skin and that strong sweet taste flowing through his lips, he can't go deeper.

He forced his mind away and tried to just end this human in front of him but his stupid body pounded furiously in anger. His heart clenched and unclenched an aching of longing.

Droplets of something wet dropped on his fur and he peeked up to see the human's closed eyes and fearful breathing. But all that wasn't what affected him-it was the scent. An amazingly sweet scent invaded his mind but where was it before because it was so addicting as it fogged up the wolf's thinking.

And a weird sensation struck him. Something in his mind was forbidding him from eating this boy and suddenly a thought appeared.

Is he...the one?
