Chapter 1

My heartbeat was gradually speeding up as I stood before the huge black tour bus with 'BRING ME THE HORIZON' written across it.

My band mated stood behind me probably sharing my excitement as we were all frozen in place caught in a bit of a trance.

Nobody spoke and all that you could hear in the air around us was our breathing.

Seen years ago when we had this vision of being one of the biggest bands in the world we didn't think that it would, you know, actually happen.

But here we were, in front of the tour bus that's gonna take us all around Europe before we leave for The States, Australia and Japan as our headliner world tour, that's gonna last a year in total, is about to start in less than a day.

Our new album 'Sempiternal' dropped just a week ago and it already broke all the rock charts and reached the spot of most sold copied within all albums that came out this year.

Our band was blowing up and none of us knew how to take it.

"Wow..." I breathed out.

"So... This is actually happening." Matt Kean aka Vegan said disbelief consuming his voice as he pretty much spoke in the name of all of us.

"Goddamn right it is!" Jordan exclaimed playing the leader as always. "I told you we're gonna be here eventually."

"Are you done admiring yourselves and we can go or you wanna stay here fangirling a little bit longer?" I heard a girl voice chuckle and I smiled turning around to face the tall 19 year old brunette who happened to become my girl best friend in the last couple of years.

"Ah, Alissa..." Matt Nick chuckled. "Always found of seeing you, but hearing your sarcasm - not so much."

"Me? Sarcastic? Never!" Alissa laughed giving all the guys a high-five before she finally came to me pulling me in for a hug as the others went to the bus.

I hugged her back holding her in for a bit longer trying to make up for the three months that I haven't seen her.

Alissa was our merch girl so she always went on tour along with us. We met her when we first toured The States six years ago and all of us immediately clicked with her.

Six years ago when our first album 'Count Your Blessings' came out I was still having major trouble with trying to find the person I was without Josh in my life and Alissa helped me out a lot with that. In fact, she was still helping me.

Josh.

So much emotions just on the thought of his name still.

Once he was my everything and now... I haven't seen him since we broke up and I left for Sheffield.

I was still kinda aware of him because Vegan was still with Max who happened to be Josh's best friend and all I knew was that he and his friends started a band after high school. It was more than enough for me.

I loved him... once. And he broke my heart the worst way possible. The path of getting over him was long and painful but now that I finally managed to cross it, I didn't want anything to do with him anymore.
