***DANS POV***
I fiddle with the key to my dorm, and suddenly drop it. I bend over to pick it up, and I pop back up to see my best friend, Chris. "Dear god," I yell, loud enough for it to be heard through the hall," You nearly have me a heartattack!" "Oops," Chris chuckles sarcasticly," Sorry?" I shake my head, chuckling, and open my door.

"So what have you been up to," I ask plopping down on my bed. "Just doing the rest of my classwork and stuff," he replies. "Don't you mean doing Ligouri," I snort. "Shut up," he yells hitting me over the head. We hear a knock on the door and I yell "Come in". "Daniel Howell," an attendant asks. I nod and she hands me a piece of paper with the Evrins' seal on it. I open it and read the small paragraph.

Daniel J. Howell,
You have been selected to judge a human. You will be paired with an angel to judge the subject as he is a Minior. Your mission will begin tomorrow at 6:30 am. If you have any questions or concerns please stop by the Evrins' chambers.

Thank you,
Alona Hail

I sigh and place the letter on my desk. "What's that about," Chris asks, leaning against the bed post. "I have been chosen for a new mission. And just to screw me even harder it's a goddamn Minior," I reply. "Oh," Chris says," Well you should probably get your sleep." I nod and he leaves. I dont sleep much already, but I'm gonna need all the energy I can get to handle this mission.

I wake up early. Rolling over, I groan at the time. 5:04 am. I reluctantly get dressed as quick as I can, knowing that if I'm late I'll be in major trouble with the Evrins. I stop by the cafeteria and grab an apple, eating it on my way to meet my new partner for this mission. For some reason, this time, I was excited. Some say that some demons can have psychic powers. I can't think of any other reason for my excitment. I reach the giant door to the Evrins' chambers. I slowly breathe in and let it out, preparing for this new mission.

I slowly open the doors and walk in. My eyes take a moment to adjust to the surrounding darkness of the room. I reach the court room and stand in the middle. "Daniel," a booming, female voice speaks," You are early." I nod and sit on a bench on the side of the wall. Soon enough my partner arrives. I have never met an angel. I never knew what they looked like until now. Apparently, they are dressed in all white, pale skin, and glow, slightly, a pale white light. This one was very attractive. He had soft black hair, beautiful ocean-y eyes, and was almost as tall as me. "Hi," he says as he catches me staring," I'm Phil." "D-Dan," I say shaking his outstretched hand. Cringing at the slight pain his touch caused. Angels and Demons cannot touch eachother or they feel pain. "Sorry. I forgot about that," he says rubbing his hand. "Daniel. Phillip," a male voice calls. We turn to face them. "You two will be judging a Minoir. Her name is Louise Pentland. Here is her file," he says as an attendant hands Phil three large folders. Phil hands me one of the folders, our hands brushing up against eachother. He inhales sharply at the pain. I, luckily, am used to pain. "You may go," the female says. We leave and head to my dorm. I open the door for us and Chris is sitting on my bed. "Oh. I suppose this is your new partner," he says. I nod and sit next to him. "Chris, Phil. Phil, Chris," I say, having to stop Phil's hand as he tries to shake Chris's hand. Chris chuckles. "S-Sorry," Phil says looking at the ground. "Its fine," Chris says.
