She cut my call twice, I checked the time and it's 5-30 in the evening.She will be waiting for me at her office but why wasn't she picking my call?Is she in any danger.I felt frightened for the very first time.It became so hard to control those devastating thoughts in my pondering mind.

"Are you okay?"I came out of trance and asked her picking her call quickly.

"I am fine.I have no time,Just listen to me without asking any questions"She almost whispered making my heart leap its beat for a second.

"Are you okay?"I asked her in desperate tone.I cursed my halfwit as I left her alone with out providing any security.I should have send one or two constables with her.She is the Prime witness and can't leave her like that anymore.

"Shh!Don't panic.I am absolutely Fine.Your Bestfriend my brother.Mr.Anurag has seen us both together.He was bombarding a series of questions at me"She sighed giving a pause and continued.

"I can't hide it anymore.He almost killed me for falling in your love again.He might attack you at anysecond.Be carefull,my love.I can't bear a separation from you anymore. It literally kills me"She said sadly which stabbed my heart.

"Promise,I will tackle this issue sensibly"I smiled and her words made my lips curve into a smile.She loves me and my presence effects her.I know its hard for me to love her like the way she loves me very selflessly and unconditionally.It's because of those stars on my cap but I love her with all my heart.

"Sir,"I heard my most trustfull subordinate Bharath,SI stood infront of me with some papers in his hands.

"Come in,Bharath"I nodded and asked him to sit.

He smiled and stood there as such

"So you got what we want?"I smiled and he couldn't stop smiling.I will be friendly with him even at office as he is my junior at college and grew up in my home like my brother.

"Here are the call records sir,"He placed the papers on my table and went back.

"Let me have a look at it"I took them into my hands and the last call.

"Arpitha called that rogue for the last time and did you get the call recordings?"I lifted my head and looked at him.

"Yes sir,"He nodded and gave me a iPhone.

I started listening to their conversation and its Pretty clear that Arpitha was instructed by that B***** to stay there at the juction.So he eventually sent that car onto her and took her life away in a snap.

"Bost**"I stood up and clenched my fist.

"Sir,I am trying my best to get the CCtv footage from traffic police.We will get it by evening"He informed me.

"Good"I nodded and looked away tangled in my own thoughts.

"Sir,Can I ask you something?"He asked me a bit hesitantly.

"Sure!"I smiled.

"How this case is connected to that robbery?"He is truly baffled.

"The car which was seized under the hit and run case is registered in the name of that watchman who was stabbed in the name of robbery,He is thriving for his life in hospital"I gave him the most awaited answer.

He didn't answer but I can say his mouth went agape and he can't believe the thing I told him.

"Yes Bharath,the man who became the victim is the Prime witness"I sighed trying to control my anger.

"I couldn't believe it sir,"He stood there lowering his head in shock.

"You may go now and I am impressed by your work"I smiled at him and he saluted and left my cabin.

"VARUN?"I heard a very familiar voice shouting my name from the entrance.

"I never wanted to see you face again There stands my bestfriend muttering something under his breath panting and puffing.

"Really?"I almost laughed at him,such a drama queen.I am his bestfriend.We were bestfriends for two decades.How can he be so sane?I know I did some terrible mistake but what he did is not good even.He bluffed me made me fool.He has to convince his sister instead he provoked her.I just want to punch him on his face.He should have acted as a good friend and a good brother. He got failed completely.

"Yes"He looked away nagging like he commited a crime.

"Don't you know why I left mandap on that day?What were you talking with your sister?"I looked at him raising his brow.

"I don't know anything,I don't want you in her life anymore"He muttered again.

"It's her life let her decide what she wants?Why do you bother?"I smirked.

"I am her brother I have all rights to oppose her lame decisions"He is clearly avoiding looking into my eyes.I know why?!

"Where were you Mr.Brother,Where have you gone at the time she tried to blackmail me?Where were you Mr.Brother at the time she was so naive to understand what love and marriage is?Aren't you the one who convinced me for this marriage.What have you told me?You told me that she is really happy and very much ready to accept me and my profession?Aren't you the one?"I questioned him looking into his eyes.

"Bloody me?!"He muttered.

"Then get your bloody ass out of here"I bite my tongue for a second for screwing up the situation.I know it's hard for me to face Preethi now.I looked Anurag who is looking at me with fuming eyes and clenching fist.

What to do I am very much intimate to him,afterall he is my bf,he will be my bf forever whether he consider it or not.I lowered my head pursing my lips out of embarrassment.I slipped my tongue and I have to pay for it.Sorry Preeti!I tried to smile at him.He didn't smiled back just walked away without any word.

I got struck in a meeting with my higher officials and couldn't contact Preeti,I know she will be mad at me for this.I rushed to door and rang the bell standing infront of her flat almost drenched in sweat and thumping heart.

"Hai"I tried to smile and surprised to see Preeti welcoming me with a warm loving smile.

"I am sorry"I came in and looked at Preeti.

"For what?"She looked at me knitting her eyebrows.

"I messed it up with your brother,my bestie"I sighed.

"Much expected.I guessed it when you told me that you will deal it sensibly.I
know how sensible you both are"She chuckled.She always surprises me.

"But I am truly worried about mom and dad?How will they take this?
"She slumped on couch.

"Everything will be fine,Believe me"I smiled and she smiled back. .

"You were worried about me I thought its me, always who worry about you but ....."She blushed.

"I love you"I placed a lingering kiss on her forehead and hugged her tightly.
