if you're going to use a fanfic trope, cliché, or any scenario that is pretty trite or common amongst other fanfics, you better be the fucking best one there is out there.
put an unexpected twist on it, do something creative to make it your own.
make it original so that the readers won't get tired of the same garbo being given to them.
