Beckett and his friends left the dorm for a little but came back after about an hour. They shut the door and took up their usual spots in the room.

                "Got a plan?" I said.

Beckett nodded. "Yea. It's an old plan, actually. Something Kaz pulled off six years ago. But I'm hoping it'll still piss off Sudlow, maybe even more now because of how much he hates Kaz."

"Man, this Kaz kid is like an urban legend here, isn't he?" I said.

"He actually is," Tessa said. "I heard about him before I became friends with Beckett."

"Little Beckett running with some true delinquents. Wasn't the guy arrested three times?" Fagan asked.

"Twice," Beckett said, looking annoyed. "The charges were dropped both times. Will you shut up so I can tell Brennan the plan?"

Well, what a small world. I'd also had the charges against me dropped twice.

"Anyways, six years ago Kaz did some digging on Sudlow's family. He revealed Sudlow's hypocritical flaws to the class. The stuff I was saying today, about Sudlow's daughter, nephew, and niece. I figured we'll do that now, let a new generation of kids know that Sudlow isn't this perfect sin-free man he tries to pass himself off as. Plus, the added bonus of reminding him he's still not free from Kaz."

"Are you sure Leon will be off guard tonight?" I asked.

"Positive," Beckett said with a nod. "For one, he knows I'm not stupid enough to make a move when Constance is this alert. And I'm not stupid. I'm just brave."

"Debatable," Fagan grumbled, wincing when the yo-yo hit him in the leg.

"Leon also thinks my dad is keeping a close eye on me. But my dad had meetings after class today, so he doesn't know I'm at the dorms right now. And he won't know if I sneak out as long he's already asleep. So I'll text you guys an hour after he and my mom pass out and I'll drive up to campus," Beckett said.

"Poor Beckett, still a slave to his parents," Fagan said, this time easily dodging out of the way of the yo-yo.

"It's not really a bad thing," I said, and they all looked at me curiously. I shrugged. "He has parents who are trying to keep him in line. Maybe they do it in a shitty way, but the intention is there."

"My parents aside," Beckett said dismissively. "Brennan, you're staying here tonight."

But my leg had been shaking restlessly. "Let me come. I can help."

Beckett glared. "You're the one who wanted to be careful."

"I did," I agreed. "But I'm feeling restless. I can't just sit in here all night."

"If you get careless, you'll get caught," Beckett warned.

"I'll be fine," I said. Beckett was right; Leon was off-guard right now. Constance would probably have tighter security around campus after that incident, so Beckett might end up needing an extra person to help him tonight.

"If something goes wrong, I'm not responsible for you," Beckett said.

"So we just have to get into Sudlow's room?" Fagan asked. "That'll be easy."
