I used to think words wouldn't hurt me because I had thick skin,
But those words can drown you, and you'll feel like you can't swim.
The world will begin to slowly crumble as the oxygen begins to thin,
It's as if no matter what you try you will never seem to win.
But then it gets better because their words are forgotten,
And when you forget your life doesn't seem to rotten.
