When the awful round of vomiting was over, Louis passed the bucket to Liam,  pulling his knees up onto the bed and curling into Harry, sobbing.  Liam got up to clean the bucket in the cramped bus bathroom, leaving Harry to comfort the distraught lad.

"Harry," he sobbed. "I don't like it! I feel so sick."

"Hush, Lou" Harry responded gently. "You need to stop crying, it's to make your stomach feel worse, boo. Shh, I've got you." Slowly, Louis' cries subsided to sniffles and whimpers, but he kept his face where it was buried in Harry's side.

Niall peeked his head in, knowing it was safe as Liam had come out with the bin. "What's wrong? Is he carsick? Will he be able to do the concert?"

"Not carsick, he's got a fever," Harry responded with a frown. "I don't know if he can perform, but I would be surprised if they let him out of it this last minute."

"Poor guy, "Niall sympathized. "Want me to call management and see what I can do?"

"That'd be great, thanks. Can you also tell Liam to hurry up? We might need the bin..." Louis hadn't said anything but he was starting to shift around, one hand clutching his stomach. "And see if there's a thermometer anywhere? I'm worried about this fever." Niall nodded, then disappeared from Harry's view, reappearing moment later with a first aid kit in hand and Liam just behind him.

"I'll help out in here, Ni, you go and make the call," Liam said, putting the now clean bucket on the floor before taking the first aid kit and sitting across the bunk from Louis to open it and dig through for a thermometer. "Here it is! Lou, do you think you can handle it in your mouth?"

Louis shook his head slightly with a frantic look in his eyes. He knew that holding a thermometer under his tongue would inevitably cause him to gag, and he didn't want to throw up more than necessary. He didn't want to vomit at all, but he could already tell that he wasn't going to get through this sickness with just one puke session. Liam gave him a small, understandable smile before asking him to lift his arm so he could take his temperature under his arm. It wasn't the most accurate, but it was the only way Louis was going to let them do it, so it would have to do.

They sat for a couple of minutes, Louis still clinging to Harry and sniffling occasionally, as they waited for the thermometer to beep. When it finally did, the sound startled Louis, and he jumped, which jostled his stomach and sent him over the bin in fear of vomiting again. Sure enough, before Liam even had time to read the number on the device, Louis was gagging and coughing again, crying because he didn't want to throw up.

"Harry, I don't...I can't...not again...don't wanna!" He choked out between gags.

"Shh, Lou. You'll feel better after. Just let it happen. I promise you'll be alright," Harry soothed, feeling horrible for his older friend. Being sick sucked, and by the way the last few minutes had been, it didn't seem like this was going to be an easy ride for Louis.

Louis continued to gag and heave over the bucket, one hand clamped tight over his stomach, but nothing was coming up.

"Harr-..." He whimpered between gags, moving the hand from his stomach to reach for Harry, as his other was clamped tightly on the bucket. He grabbed Harry's wrist, pulling his friend's larger hand to his stomach, and wrapping his own around the bucket, he pulled it closer to his chest.

"What, boo? Do you want me to rub for you?" Harry questioned, as Liam looked on in concern from the bunk across. Louis shook his head, gagged hard instantly, and brought a hand back to where Harry's was on his stomach, pressing it onto himself. "Pressure, love?" Harry was a bit surprised at the term of endearment that slipped out, but he was worried about Louis, so he just hoped he wouldn't care. When he applied a bit of pressure to Louis's stomach, he could instantly feel how much the poor lads guts were turning and roiling around inside of him. "Oh, boo, that feels awful."
