Alexis' POV I sat sunbathing at sometime in the morning with a smile stuck on my face, I can't stop thinking about yesterday. I think I like him. Alex you're an adult, of course you like him, you want to marry him. You want to kiss the face off of him every time you stare into those deep blue eyes of his. I was frightened by Zoe standing over me. "Hey, Alex" she smiled, pearly white teeth beaming at me. "Hey Zoe, you okay?" I asked, squinting at the sun. "Yeah, I'm good thanks, I was just wondering if you were coming to the beach?" "Sure, is Marcus going?" "No, he's going out somewhere with Oli and Jim" "Okay, I'll go ask the rest if they want to come" I stood up smiling. "Okay" Zoe took my lounge chair, adjusting her straps on her dress. I took the route around my bedroom as Alfie was changing in there and went and got hold of Caspar. "Hey Casp, we're going the beach want to come?" "Sure, I'll be ready in 5". I went through my bedroom and up the stairs to Joe's room. My heart beat a little faster for every step I took, until I was clenching my chest just outside his door. I gulped then knocked. I couldn't help but smile at Joe, not saying anything. He wore a white tank top with black shorts. He smiled at me confused. "What?" He laughed a little. I couldn't get anything out so I just stepped into his room, I shut the door and leaned against it breathing through my nostrils and out my mouth. I can't stop this feeling. "I-I" Nothing comes out. He raised an eyebrow, clearly confused. I didn't say anything, I just pulled him close to my face, waiting for him to pull away or take the first move. "What are you doing? What if Marcus comes in?" "I can't stop thinking about you Joe" I whispered. Joe hesitated and looked at the door and past me. He moved in to kiss me but then suddenly I'm being squished behind the door. Joe quickly pulls me out from behind the door. Caspar walks in. We're both standing there side by side facing Caspar. "What have you guys been doing?" "Nothing" I quickly answer. "Oh my god!" He yells. "Shhh" we both quiet him down. "Caspar" I closed the door as he stepped in. "We were fixing this" I pointed at the hooks on the back of the door. "That's why you're so flushed?" "Yes" Joe lies. "Okay.." "Right come on then to the beach!" I say pushing Caspar out. "Alex, you forgot your bag" Joe called out after me as I was walking down the stairs. I smiled, knowing my bag was actually downstairs. I ran in and pounced on him, kissing him for under five seconds, due to Caspar. "Let's go!" Skip the trip to the beach.
"I need to tan my legs, Casp!" Zoe said lying back down again. "I'll come in the sea" I said smiling at Caspar. He cheered then raced me over the hot sand. The sea was crystal blue, I could see my painted toenails as I looked down. The water had already covered three-quarters of my body already. I watched Caspar fascinate over the fish at his feet. The sun had already burnt my shoulders by the time I got out of the water. I ran back over to Joe, Alfie and Zoe. I picked up a towel and wiped my face. As the towel was over my head, I found myself being swept off of my feet. I screamed in horror and I tried to get away. The towel flew off my head and I looked over my shoulder to see Joe. "Joe, put me down!" "Nope" "I thought someone had tried to kidnap me!" I heard him laugh. I soon realised we were heading away from the beach. I turned around and saw the sea. "Don't chuck me in, no no no, JOE please!" He spun me around and around among to feel as sick as a kid on a merry go round.

Not listening he threw me in. I hit the bottom and felt like I'd been there my whole life. It took me around eleven seconds to get back up. I made a weird noise in getting my breath back after coming up to the surface. Joe had his back to me in the water as he stuck his thumbs up to the rest of them. I had a plan. I started to splash loudly, then as soon as he turned around a swam underwater, pretending I couldn't swim. I opened my eyes to see Joe heading towards me, cheeks as big as a chipmunks. I closed my eyes, as he grabbed my waist and pulled me up the sand. "Alex, i'm so sorry, I didn't mean for this to happened. I didn't realise you couldn't swim" he put his hand on my cheek. "Neither could I" I said sealing my lips waiting for Joes reaction. "ALEX!" "Payback" "I can't believe you, you had me so scared" he knocked me. "I'm sorry, not sorry" I winked. Joe laughed shaking his head. I heard screams coming from across the beach. "Joe!" It was Zoe, Caspar and Alfie. "Guys!" "I'll call an ambulance" "Wait!" "Is she okay?" "I'm fine!" I finally yell. Alfie put his phone away. "We were just messing around" I looked down, in shame. "I actually thought you were drowning" Zoe was shook. "I'm sorry" I stood up and hugged Zoe. "You could have trigged a panic attack, Alex" "I know and I'm sorry" "Sorry isn't enough" Alfie crossed his arms. I felt like punching him, but for everyone else's sake I didn't. "Alfie I can talk for myself" Zoe put a hand on Alfie's chest and pushed it gently while walking off in one direction. Alfie followed. I got up and wiped the sand off of me. "I am sorry" I say to Caspar and Joe. Joe follows, Caspars stranded. Caspar follows but tells us he's going back anyway. We walk around for a while not saying anything. When we're alone, we sit as the warm breeze hits us. We watched the sun set, wasting our whole day there, hand in hand not saying a word. I looked at our hands, that were intertwined, in the sand. "Joe" "Yes" he said not looking at me. "I don't see this is right" "Well it's a sun set so what are you saying?" "i'm not talking about the sunset" "Oh" "I am talking about this, us" I lifted our hands that were joined. "What's wrong with it?" "It's not right Joe, we're not in a relationship and we've kissed twice, also not to mention that we haven't even told Marcus" Oh no. I've gone behind Marcus' back, once I tell him he'll be so pissed with me... "Then let's get to know each other and take things slow" I let go of Joes hand and get up. "Don't follow me" "What..?" I don't give Joe time to speak anymore, I just leave. I can't be in a non-existent relationship with Joe. I just can't.
