I was thinking of nothing.

There was nothing. In my mind. My mind was blank.

I stared out into the ocean. And over the bridge.

I wasn't going to jump. I took one last look.

I stared down at the hotdog in my hands. My favorite food. And I took one last bite.

The sweet pickle taste filled my mouth. The spicy onions made my eyes water. I took another bite. Then threw the hotdog behind me.

I swallowed it, then stood up on the railing.

My heart was racing.

I looked behind me.

I knew it was time. I knew I had to do it. I couldn't take it.

But the hand stopped me.
