Hello, ladies and gentlemen and people who don't identify with either! How are your dark souls doing on this fine evening? Resting well, I assume? Today, I will be interviewing the legendary author behind The Dragon's Song series! And yes, we have the same last name. Coincidence? I think not! She writes fantasy stories here on Wattpad with DRAGONS in them, and they are incredible! Let's​ all give a warm applause to Emily L.K.!

Interviewer: Good evening, Emily! How are you?

Emily: *waves* Hi! I'm great! Just to twist things, I'm actually on the underside of the world so it's good morning from me ;)

Interviewer: Ohh haha good morning then! It's like 1:18am in Greece. XD

Alright-y, the first question is: Rumours say that you and Zayn are dating. What can you tell us about that?After you have answered this question, you can move onto the next one which although not as serious, is pretty vital as well:

We all know that authors love all their babies, but do you have a favourite one? Why are they so favoured by you? Not fair!

Emily: Who is Zayne?

My favourite character is probably Rowan. He has a massive history that the readers don't know about (yet). He's followed closely by Adro who also has a rich history and is from a culture that none of the other characters are from. I hope to write more about him one day too.

Interviewer: ... I see how this is going to be. But just you know denying it won't-- Alright, haha JK! Zayn is an ex One Direction band member if you were being serious. :)

Two of my favourites as well! I love Rowan so much, honestly. But don'tworry Andro, you hold a special place in my heart too. xD Speaking of Rowan Iwas planning on sending this at some point but oh, well: Okay, so we all loveRowan. HE'S A SMOL LITTLE CINNAMONROLL. ... I just wanted to say that,there isn't really a question. xD Now, that that's out of the way...Originally, a pretty creepy nightmare gave life to my current work in progress(ZORA). What inspired you to write the Dragon Soul series? Was it a shower, anap or maybe someone you saw on the street and stared at like weirdo? *cough* This may have gotten too personal for me, LOL.

Emily: Actually nothing inspired me to write the Dragon's Song series. I happened across Wattpad one day while I was living in Paris and started writing a story about a girl with voices in her head. From there it evolved into the series that it is. I wouldn't recommend writing this way (without some sort of plan). The beginning of the story required (and still does) a lot of rework.

Interviewer: Well, I'm sure it was one hell of a concept, having evolved into the story that it is today! :)

So I'm in awe of the world building that goes on in TDS. Like, OMG, not posting spoilers is getting so hard because I just want to gush about your writing! What advice can you give us padawans? How do you come up with certain titles, names for places etc.? Any tricks?

Emily: I source names and titles from all over the internet. Names of places often are direct translations into another language and you'll see a lot in the comments on the stories that people recognise them. With people I follow themes. For a while in the story's history, Dijem elders (and those expected to become them) were named after trees and plants. Some names I make up (Cori and Adro were two I didn't go looking for) and others I find on baby name sites.
