Him [Zarry]

Prologue

It was cold when he first saw him.

Harry remembered it so vividly.

It'd been such a gray day, an icy breeze occasionally making everyone just a little more numb.

He was walking home from the shitty job he had at the time, his hands tucked into the front pocket of his hoodie.

His hair was still long then, flowing out from under his favorite Green Bay beanie.

The first thing he noticed was the moving truck, and all the cars in the driveway.

Harry glanced down to make sure he didn't trip over his large feet, as he did so often, looking back up just in time to spot an angel.

That's just what he was.

Standing there in a thick white cable-knit sweater, a gray beanie, black skinny jeans and white Dr.Martens.

A cigarette was balanced between the man's pointer and middle finger, a trail of smoke drifting out into the cold air as he spoke to one of the moving men.

The boots he wore may have added an inch or two, but he was still quite small.

The vivid white fabric of his sweater brought out his warm, subtle tan skin tone, making Harry's mouth feel dry.

All he could do was stand there staring.

His knees felt weak, and his heart seemed to spin when he caught a glimpse of the man's face.

Harry stared long after the beautiful man disappeared around the other side of the truck.

Harry immediately wanted to know everything.

Everything.

His soul felt like it was overflowing with passion already.

He could barely contain himself, rushing inside to tell his roommate all about it.

But that was then.

Ten months ago.

Since then, Harry's life hadn't been anything like it was before.

His friends and family were beginning to worry about him now, but Harry couldn't care less what they thought.

His life revolved around the pretty man across the street.

Zayn Malik.

He was his muse, his reason to get out of bed, hell, sometimes even his reason to live.

Harry was in love, he was certain of it.

He was deeply in love.

Though, he'd never spoken to Zayn.

He didn't want to.

Well, maybe he did, but he knew he could never put into words how he felt.

He could never form a proper sentence in Zayn's presence.

Harry knew trying to actually communicate would be a disaster.

He was perfectly comfortable with admiring Zayn from afar without him knowing.

Of course, Harry couldn't help but wonder what it would be like if he could ever scrape up the courage to speak to him.

He often wondered about it.

But, he'd accepted that it would never happen.

Main character descriptions:

Harry: Big-hearted clumsy stalker who works in the garden section of the local supermarket and has an...interesting style.

Liam: Harry's OCD roommate who has a thing for anime, video games, and working out. Liam works as a construction worker during the week, and is rarely found complaining about his job.

Zayn: A somewhat successful writer who effortlessly remains an enigma to everyone but his boyfriend.

Eric: Zayn's loving boyfriend who makes a living working as a photographer.

Other characters will be introduced later in the story.
