Hello everybody and thank you for landing on my story!

Before I start the actual writing, I'd just like to talk a few things over. You may skip this chapter and still understand the story following, but I feel you'll get a better understanding of my writing and the story itself if you read what follows.

First of all, I'd like to voice my opinion on Remadora. As a fan of Harry Potter and a hopeless romantic (who is still single and always has been by the way but that's beside the point, because I'm a hopeless romantic nonetheless), this ship is my absolute favorite of the whole series. I'm really disappointed of how they delivered it in the movies, but I guess they just couldn't elaborate on everything. I think their love story really shows us that love can be found at the most unlikely place, and that love transcends all barriers of age, money, or 'danger' and conditions. Tonks loved Remus and didn't care of his lycanthropy, older age or bank account, and I think that's just really beautiful. Their story is also really tragic, and it breaks my heart every time I think of little Teddy, a few days old and already orphaned. It really makes me mad when people say that Remus got into a relationship with Tonks because he was pressured into it: he really loved her, and not only is it very visible in the books, JK Rowling herself stated on Pottermore he was 'first amused, then impressed, then seriously smitten by the young witch' and that it was his first time falling in love. Some people also say they entered a hetero-normative relationship as they were both considered by the fandom as queer characters. Personally and as a bisexual myself, I don't see how it is so. I still see Tonks as gender fluid and pansexual and Lupin as bisexual. However, it may not show that much in my writing, because I feel like I'm the wrong person to interpret these sexualities with a 'pre-made' couple, if you know what I mean. But it doesn't change even one bit how I feel about these characters' sexuality.

Second of all, I'd also like to say that this fanfiction will be a big jump from my ususal type of writing. It is only my second story on Wattpad, but I've written a dozen other fanfictions outside of this site, so I'm used to doing so. I usually set myself barriers as to stay in the possible canon of the fandom I'm writing. In this case, I'll be removing that rule for myself, and be writing as if Remus and Nymphadora had survived after the 2nd May 1998. The only thing I will change of the canon is this, it'll be the exact same events, except that they both would have escaped their canon killers. However, I still won't be writing about non-canon couples, probably ever because it makes me uncomfortable to think that I know better who they should have ended up with than their own creator. It just feels wrong for my laptop and my fingers. The second rule I usually set for myself is that even though I love writing about ships and fictional couples, I don't make a story solely about that. There's always an actual plot involved. Not this time. This time, I'll be really focusing on their daily life and little events pimenting it.

And of course, I don't own any of these wonderful characters, J.K. Rowling does!

That's it, I hope you'll enjoy reading this story as much as I'll have fun writing it!
