Demi's POV:
*Knock knock*
"Demi! Have you finished packing up your thing?" mom is yelling from downstairs.
"Yes! Mom, I'm gonna put the boxes downstairs now."
"Ok, just be careful. Hun."
"I got this mom."
Yes well, we are moving, again. I really feel bad about myself because the whole family is moving just for me. I know I'm not a very good daughter. Whatever, we have to move out of this town anyways. The whole neighbourhood hates me. Yeah, I'm not gonna lie. I suffer from bullying and seriously I can't stand this anymore.
It's the fifth time we move already. And everytime, I wish the new place would be different, a good different. Every single place in this town reminds me of the scenes when the mean girls said things and names about me, the popular boys blocking my way. And my dark moments... I'm fat and ugly and I know it. That's what everybody says and that's the truth. The whole bullying thing has been driving me crazy since like what, 3rd grade? It is a nightmare.
Anyways, it is not an interesting topic to share.
-------------------------------
"Demi? Are you coming?" mom is annoyed as always.
"Oh yes."
I stake up the boxes that contain my stuff and go downstairs.
-------------------------------
"Hey, sweety, what took you so long? Dallas has already taken Maddie to the new house. Dad has been putting all of our things into the car. Help him out after putting your stuff into the car?" mom's forehead is shiny with sweat.
"Ok." I put my stuff into the car and help out with dad, who is rushing between the house and the car.
"Here we go! To our new life!" dad says it almost in a melody. He is always so dramatic. I can't resist to laugh a little.
-------------------------------
The sun is setting already. Three hours to go till we get to the new house. Mom is asleep already. She must be exhausted. We move almost every year. Don't get it wrong, it's not a tradition. It's just because of how bullying affects me. There's no way I can stay anymore. It is a curse perhaps.
A Dolly Parton song is playing in the car, my parents like old songs like this.
My phone buzzes suddenly. It scares me to death. I scroll to unlock. It's Dallas.
Dallas: Hi Dems, my girl:)
Me: Hey sis, whats up?
Dallas: I 'd already put Maddie to bed. Tell mum and dad not to worry?
Me: NP! Get some rest yourself too! Will arrive in 3hrs.
Dallas: Call me when yall r 'home'!
Me: K! Ttyl!!
I put my phone back in my pocket and stare at the rearview mirror. I can't wait to see Maddie. I missed her a lot. I had been too busy on quiting the last school. I wish I had spent more time with my baby sis.
Moving had been really hard for her. Unlike me, she has tons of friends here. And I know she must be really sad saying goodbye to her besties. But she has friends wherever she goes. She is so cute and adorable. So I'm pretty sure that she will have just as many friends as she had back where I lost mine.
I just hope that everything will turn out great and I can have a new life.
