The next couple of weeks seemed to drag on, making them seem like months more than weeks. Once September 1st came around I couldn't seem to keep my excitement under control.
"Sit still Pheonix, your going to break the chair" Molly chuckled trying to seem angry, but you could tell she was happy I wasn't quiet and distant like usually. I ignored her, as I continued to bounce up and down a huge genuine smile on my face.
Percy was warily watching me if I was going to break down any minute. Charlie's mouth was open wide as he couldn't believe that I had gotten that constant scowl off my face.
I inhaled my breakfast, trying to leave the house and get to the train station as quickly as possible.
"Slow down Pheonix, you might choke" Molly scolded,"then it would take us longer to get there"
I scowled but slowed down never the less. After everyone had finished their breakfast, it was finally time to go to the train station. So after and hour of packing and shuffling the trunks into the car we were ready to go.
The drive was long and uncomfortable as we had 8 children and 2 adults squished into a small muggle car. By the end of the trip I was ready to strangle Ron, as he kept getting food from his snack all over me.
As soon as we got to kings cross station I jumped out of the car, grabbing my trunk and trolls and started to run towards platform 9 and 3/4.
"Wait for us Pheonix" I faintly heard Molly yell from behind me, the bustling crowd making her voice seem distant. Once I got to platform 9 and 10, the Weasley's had caught up to me, Molly looked slightly flushed from having to run.
"You go in first Bill" Molly said. I frowned, which Molly saw."Don't worry dear you can go next"
Bill ran at the wall, next thing I knew he had disappeared. I had seen it before but it never ceased to amaze. I lined my trolley up with the barrier and started sprinting towards it, I closed my eyes worried that I would hit the wall but I didn't.
I opened my eyes to the sight of a scarlet red train. I ran towards the train dodging crying parents and embarrassed kids. I put my trunk on the train in a spare compartment, before coming back out to see the Weasley's.
The Weasley's weren't hard to spot, their bright red hair standing out among the brunettes and blondes. Molly looked sodas she kiss and hugged Bill and Charlie. The minute Molly spotted me she came rushing over and crushed me in a hug. I stood there awkwardly as I waited for her to let to, once she did the warning whistle blew signaling the train was about to leave.
I rushed onto the train and into the compartment with my trunk and sat down. Soon enough the train started moving forward and we were off. I looked out the window watching as the train passed through London and soon into the country.
After awhile a small knock came from the compartment door.
"Come in" I called. As soon as it left my lips a small petite girl walked in, her black shoulder length hair hung limply around her face. Her pale skin making her dark brown eyes seem darker.
"Um do you mind if I um sit here" she asked nervously, I merely nodded.
"What's your name?" I asked, wondering if she was a pureblood or not.
"Oh how rude of me I didn't introduce myself" she blushed, making her skin seem even paler,"My names Tina Prince"
I smiled noticing the familiar pureblood name. "Pheonix Lestrange" she smiled relieved that I hadn't kicked her out.
"So what house are you hoping to be in?" I asked, breaking the silence.
"Slytherin or Ravenclaw" she said,"My mother was a Slytherin and my father a Ravenclaw, What about you?"
