Chapter 3: Project Veronica X.

I kept staring at him, my heart beating like a drum, and didn't dare to move a muscle... I was frozen in place

"Veronica X... A well done but yet failed project, you should be dead" He finall said

I frowned, not understanding what he's talking about, and looked up at him with furrowed brows "Wesker... what are you talking about, what is this virus?" I asked him carefully, not letting my guard down

He sighed, a annoyed look on his face, then start to tell me while walking around me with the gun ready "About twenty years ago, two years before you were born, we created a human being... and she was born with the virus.

We raised her and trained her, she was smarter than any other living creature.

Her ability to learn was amazing... but that was also what made her turn against us, she started to realize that we were the so called "bad guys". .. The ones who caused pain for others.

We lost control over her a week later... So we had no other choice then to put her down, I shot her in the head so she died straight away without any pain.

She was only two years then in human years, but her mind and body was of a fully grown person... Eighteen years to be exact. So after she was dead we took a sample of her blood, her virus... The perfect one.

But a year later we discovered that Veronica was be able to live without a body, her consiousness was in the virus we had extracted from her.

It was still perfect... But yet weak, without a real body Veronica started to die slowly... the virus along with her. So to make it last we had to inject her into someone, and that someone was your mother... your real mother"

I gasped, a tear escaping my eye... T-This can't be true "My mom... You injected her with the virus... With Veronica?" I asked him disbelieving while following him with my gaze, in case he tries to shoot me

Wesker nodded his head "Yes but there was one thing we did not expect when we injected her with Veronica... That she was pregnant with you" He told me and

I shook my head, why would that be a problem? Why would it matter if she was pregnant with me during the injection?

I looked at Wesker with a frown "Why would it matter that she was pregnant with me?" I asked a little curiously

My question seemed to make Wesker angry, he growled like an animal and his finger almost pulled the trigger on the gun. As fast as he had gotten angry he suddenly sighed and chuckled a bit, as if he didn't just do that

"Because instead of infecting her Veronica infected you and became a part of you... Your spine was weak and frail so she attached herself to it to make it stronger, later on becoming what you call a tail" He told me and my eyes open wide, did he just say what I think he said?

I frowned a bit, my heart beating faster than before "So X is a part of me... My spine, two minds in one body?" I asked and he nodded his head in respond, a evil smile forming on his lips that sent chills down my spine

"Yes she is and that's why I can't let you live, I need her alive" He told me while reloading the gun with bullets that

When he was done loading it he pointed it at me, making me gasp in fear, but suddenly I heard X chuckle in my mind, great timing "Why are you laughing? He's gonna shoot me in the freaking head!" I told her in panic

"Well because there's one problem with his so called plan" She laughed in amusement but I just got more annoyed

But I blinked a moment later, feeling very much confused "And what is it?" I thought back and could feel her smirk in the back of my mind
