It's like you're sinking. slowly, softly. You can't stop, it's as if a rope has a hold of you and is pulling you closer and closer towards the cold, dark ocean floor where you will inevitably drown. Your lungs will fill with water and your eyes will burn from the sting of the murky salt water as you try your hardest to find the surface... but you never will, you're already lost, another casualty of love.
No one will save you, no one will want to save you.
You were lied to, you appreciated the ocean around you taking in the beauty and the utter unknown that surrounded you that you never even considered that one day you could run out of the air, that you would drown; no one told you that you could. No human can stay underwater forever, especially if no one provides you with oxygen and if no one helps you to breathe. She didn't help you to breathe, she took away your oxygen, she made you sink further and it scared you because you didn't understand why.
She lied to you and told you that it would be safe down there, now you regret trusting her, you wish you never believed her because as soon as you reached the cold floor... she left, she left you all alone, stuck at the bottom of the ocean a smile on her face as if she knew she had won, as if she knew she had destroyed you.
You were heart broken on that ocean floor, you blamed yourself, you blamed the world but most of all you blamed her. She played you, she never wanted you, not really; all she wanted was to see you drown as she swam to the surface and flew away with someone else.
Yes, you fall in love, but once you fall you should fly, you should fly away together. You relied on her to help you fly, but instead, she chose someone else. She promised that she would always choose you.
You cried for months on that murky ocean floor, breaking more and more with each heartfelt thought with each broken promise; you felt empty. You were beginning to accept that maybe drowning wouldn't be so bad after all.
You wanted to die, you wanted the pain to end, she made you feel that way, she destroyed your soul...
Your time was coming to an end and you knew it, you stopped fighting, you stopped caring, you stopped trying at all.
The sunset shone golden-orange over the horizon that day, your lungs burned, you could hear death whispering sweet nothings in your ear as darkness began to overtake you. The darkness was peaceful, quite, you weren't sure you liked it; you felt there was something missing.
Just as it seemed to be too late, a light flashed and you felt a dragging sensation, you heard the gentle swoosh of the waves as you were pulled out of the deep water and into the fresh clean air; you gasped gratefully as you were placed on a strip of beach sand.
A new girl looked down at you with bright blue-green eyes, blonde hair and a ginormous smile as if you were the world, but she was different when she smiled and her smile seemed real; she was the one you were supposed to have, you were the one she was supposed to have.
She kissed you as she pushed you back into the water, laughing as she clung on prepared to sink too. She knew you were scared and so she held you tight as the journey began, promising to always stay; you fell slowly but safely as you fixed each other and once again made each other whole. You looked into her loving deep eyes and you relaxed, this one wouldn't run away, this was the one who was meant to be, you trusted her and loved her more than anything before, more than you would love anything ever again.
She was the one who you would fly with, she was the one who would save you; but you, you would save her too.
