"If two cops tell me not to be a cop, I think I'd listen."

"I had to learn on my own I guess...you want another drink?"

"No I'm good. Thanks."

He nodded then called the waiter over and ordered a shot. The fact that he had killed a glass of wine quickly and now wants to drink something straight made me nervous.

My phone buzzed, it was a text from Brooks asking how my date was going. Honestly I'd rather be home joking around with him but we're out with different people. I just replied that it was going okay.

Was he thinking about me as much as I'm thinking about him?

"Who's texting you?" Rhodes asked.

I looked up at him. "My brother, he's just checking on me."

"You're a grown woman, why does he have to check on you? And it's a little rude to text while you're on a date, don't you think?"

I looked at him like he was crazy. "Relax."

His jaw clenched, then he picked up the shot and took it.

"So how did you become a drug dealer?" He asked, smiling like a kid in a candy store.

"That's not something I'm going to discuss with you."

"Damn, you don't wanna talk about nothing. What you worried I'm wearing a wire? If I wanted you in jail I would've got you arrested a long time ago."

"I see you get drunk easily." Rolling my eyes, I took a sip from my cup.

"I'm not drunk."

"Oh so you just start acting like an asshole on your own then huh?"

"An asshole?"

"Yes. Telling me I'm rude because I'm texting my brother back."

"It is rude. I'm guessing mommy and daddy weren't around to teach you table manners....WAITER!"

I quickly looked around, this nigga is tripping.

"What can I get for you Mr. Rhodes?" The waiter asked.

"Double shot of what I just had."

My eyes grew. He can't be serious.

"You know you have to drive home right?" I asked.

"I'll be fine baby don't worry."

Now I was feeling uncomfortable.

Our food finally came. I was ready to eat and go the fuck home. He was much better when I used his ass to do background checks.

I picked at my steak. Honestly my appetite was gone as I watched him down all his drinks. Next thing I know his chair was next to mine. He brushed his lip over my shoulder and my stomach just balled up.

"Andre."

"You smell amazing." His words slurred.
