The cars thundered past, sending spray from the puddles onto the young boy. Cursing as the water soaked him, he decided to take shelter in a nearby doorway. Dark clouds remained prominent in the sky, though the rain had stopped not too long ago. He grimaced at the couple across the street, marveling at each other beneath their single, bright green umbrella. He stared at the couple for what seemed like an eternity before slowly and helplessly drifting off to sleep.

Harry woke to a blinding light, his eyes adjusting gradually.
He noticed a torch close to his face, grapsed by a stern looking police officer.
"What are you doing here?"
The officer asked, still staring.

Harry noticed that the sky was dark, it was clear that he'd slept for quite a few hours before rudely being awoken.

"Didn't you hear me?!"
The police officer barked.

Grabbing Harry's collar, the officer lifted him up and slammed him into the wall. The officer's face came closer to his, only inches away, and spoke again.

"I said, didn't you hear me!?"
He hissed.

Harry could smell alcohol and cigarettes on his breath. He slipped out of his jacket and fled towards the exit of the alley. He felt something hit his leg and he went flying face first into the concrete, a sharp snap echoed though the air. Harry turned onto his back and winced as the blood drained from his nose and onto the cold, wet ground. He looked up as the man walked toward him, carrying a long blade. He crouched next to him and pushed his weapon toward Harry's face.

"You like it?" The officer smirked, turning the knife in his hands, "I acquired this blade from a former partner of mine."
The officer mused, lost in thought, "This was from sometime in the 1890s, right before I killed him."

Harry placed the officers accent as Russian. He suddenly grabbed his hand and shoved it onto the ground. He held the blade over his middle finger. The officer turned his head toward Harry and smiled
"You know..." He jibed, "I practiced as a surgeon for a few years..."

He turned his head back towards Harry's hand and placed the tip of the blade on his finger,
"One quick slice..."
The officer mumbled.

Harry's eyes widened as the officer lifted the blade above his head, ready to strike down.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you..."
An unfamiliar voice spoke...

Adös sat across from a brute of a man. He hated dealing with that guy, but he payed well.

"So..." The brute grumbled with his rough voice, itching his chin, "You're definitely getting me what I asked for? No catch?"

He glared, sliding the envelope across the table toward Adös, who greedily accepted it with money-hungry eyes.
"Of course."

Forcing the envelope into his jacket, Adös stood up.

"Remember..." The Brute leered, "I will hunt you down if-"

"If I do not return." Adös finished, "I've heard all the threats."

Adös stepped outside to the cobbled street and walked towards the port.
