Hey, sorry for being sorta inactive lately. I've been dealing with a lot of stress and a lack of motivation to do anything. Writing has been getting harder because of this. Updates are going to be slow and I'm sorry for that. I'll try to get at least one update in before summer vacation, but I can't promise anything.
Anyhow, enjoy this storytime thing I had to pry out of the deepest, darkest part of my memories to find.

So, my [homophobic] teacher had us write another romance story for this fair or whatever that we're having. I start writing about a random gay couple with some hella generic names. I literally searched up the most generic guy names, no joke.
So, as I'm typing my little story, the teacher is walking around, checking everyone's computer screens. When she came around to me, I noticed she was staring a lot longer than usual. So, when the periods are done and it's time to leave, I turn in my story since I was done with it.
A few days past and we get our stories back. (She printed it out for us.) Mine had a low as shit grade (it was like a 75 or something), and a shitty looking 'meet me after class' written in pink highlighter at the bottom of it.
In that moment, I'm mad as fuck.
She tells me my story isn't appropriate. There wasn't even anything in there that was inappropriate. The most was a quick kiss on the lips. Which is pretty damn appropriate, if I do say so myself. It wasn't like they were shoving their tongues down each other's throats or anything.
Naturally, I ask her what's wrong with it. She says that the parents that are going to the fair aren't going to be comfortable with this kind of thing, that they wouldn't want to explain this type of relationship to their kids and that I should write a story about a 'normal' couple. She asked me to resubmit a different story.
I don't remember what happened after that, but I do remember submitting the same one.
Who does she think she is, honestly?! What gives her any right to say whether a certain couple is 'normal' or not?! I don't even think she's married! What makes her think she can say that?! Honestly, looking back on it now, I should've told somebody.
