"I guess it's only fitting that I kill the younger Queen after my father killed the older one." Grant proudly said, stepping toward his enemies. Thea found herself guided by rage for a moment as she inched closer to the armored man. Riley moved to stop her, knowing that a fight in such close proximity was exactly what Grant wanted. Thea pulled away from her friend's grasp and attacked. Grant easily avoided the first strike and quickly found himself defending himself from several followup attacks. The two danced back along the bamboo walkway, kicking and punching as they bounced around the wobbling wood. Riley jumped up and began to climb over them, hoping to move around to flank their enemy. Grant seemed to enjoy Thea's fast and powerful attacks, the grin beneath his masked showed that he hadn't an opponent of this skill before. Riley wasted no time in rejoining the fight as he dropped down and kicked Grant from behind, catching the assassin off guard. Grant quickly shifted his defense and turned to monitor both threats surrounding him. After a few more punches and kicks, he broke contact and pulled both of his swords into the fray. With a quick spin, Grant, changed his fighting stance and began to swirl his weapons around. Thea and Riley both changed their distance and barely avoided the passing blades as they swiped past them. Riley ducked low under a sword swipe only to catch a kick, knocking him away. Thea managed to grab ahold of Grant's hand and closed the distance between them, allowing her to gain a few quick strikes to his face. A loud snarl exited Grant's mask as he used his free hand to put Thea in a lock where he thrust her out into the air away from the safety of the walkway. Thea grabbed onto the flimsy bamboo railing and kept fron plummeting to her death as Grant drove his sword into the railing around her fingers. Thea quickly rolled her body away from the attacks while keeping a steady hold on the railing, allowing her momentum to guide her back to the walkway. She attempted to jump back over the railing but was stopped by Grant's fast sword swipes, causing her to duck under them and nearly fall again. Thea found herself using her speed and small frame to propel her alongside the outter railing as she continued to dodge Grant's attacks. Riley reentered the battle with a powerful boot to Grant's chest, stumbling the man back. A split second later and Riley drew his sidearm and fired a quick succession of rounds into Grant's chest. The bullets struck the industrial strength HIVE body armor and were immediately stopped, barely leaving scratches in their wake. Grant glanced down at his chest and dusted off the area where the shots had landed.
"Well it was worth a shot." Riley shrugged as he prepared for the counter attack. Grant furiously swiped his swords at the ARGUS operative, pushing him back along the walkway. Riley moved fast as he side steppes the blades before dropping low and giving Thea a clear shot. Grant snapped his attention to his new threat upon spotting Thea aiming her bow at him. She instantly fired, releasing the flashbang arrow from her draw string. Grant spun around to evade the projectile, while snatching it in midair and returning it to Thea's feet within a split second. Riley curled into a ball for protection as Thea turned away just as the arrow ignited, blasting the area with a blinding light and deafening sound. Thea crashed against the railing and fought to keep ahold of it as Riley slowly stumbled at her feet, the effects of the flashbang arrow wearing heavy on them both. Grant laughed as he moved toward his targets, twirling his swords as he closed the distance.
"Nice effort...for a sidekick." Grant said, readying his sword. A burst of glass beside him caught his attention as Roy exploded through the nearby window and tackled Grant into the bamboo railing. The two men grappled each other as Riley took the opportunity to prep for their evac. He quickly attached himself and Thea to the short rope that was tethered to the bamboo structure. Roy and Grant continued their fight for a moment as Riley pulled his phone out and punched in a command, waiting for the right moment to execute his plan.
"Roy!" He yelled, knowing that they had to leave before more reinforcements arrived. Roy snapped his hold on Grant and kicked him away. Without a word he pulled a grappling arrow to his bow and shot it straight into the wooden plank below himself. Grant studied the bizarre move and glanced back to the other two targets and saw that they too were tethered to the bamboo.
