taeyong's worst nightmare finally came to reality: seeing her smile fade once he revealed himself.

the two sat across each other, holding their drinks in their hands as the silence came inside the atmosphere.

"lee taeyong, right?" miyeong asks, her eyes fixed at his gaze.

taeyong nodded at her question in reply. he couldn't bear to see her not smiling. "you remember me?"

miyeong nodded. the two exchange friendly hugs until they sat down on their seats quietly.

"it's been awhile, miyeong." he said with a smile. "i've been wanting to see you for such a long time."

"why didn't you?" miyeong couldn't bring herself to even smile at the slightest.

"you should have told me from the start that it was you." she continued that gave chills to taeyong.

he sighs and stirs his drink with a green straw from the lady. "believe me, i wanted to tell you it was me. i just didn't know how to say it." he stated.

"taeyong, you could have been honest. you know i would have also appreciated that." she mentioned.

he ran out of topics to talk about. the only restricted topic is their relationship before. if only she could remember their passionate love before, she would be his again.

"i've missed you." he blurted out. suprising miyeong a little.

she smiled once again and after a few seconds, it faded away.

"how's life lately?" she avoided taeyong's bold words. instead she wanted to talk about him.

"you know, studying." he replied to her simply.

miyeong took a sip from her caramel macchiato in delight. "that's good to hear."

all of a sudden, he could not contain his curiosity towards the girl. he was desperate to know the answer that he's been wanting to hear.

"do you really love jaehyun?" taeyong asked boldly.

miyeong processed in her mind with his question, finding out ways on how to reply to it. she couldn't help but to blush madly whenever she hears her boyfriend's name.

taeyong couldn't help but to let his smile sink— including his heart. it was painful for him to see the girl that he loved for so long in love with his best friend.

"i do." miyeong immediately answered as she turned her hands to drink on her coffee. "why do you ask?"

"you don't remember at all, do you?" taeyong muttered. he got her full attention all of a sudden.

she stared at him in awe. "what do you mean? have i done something to make you upset?" miyeong asks.

"remember when we talked about our significant other?" taeyong reminded, a little sadness hinted in his tone. "that girl was you, miyeong."

her eyes have gotten big due to the fact taeyong never fails to suprise her. miyeong remembered his story of the girl he mentioned from their previous chat.

"i left you?" she muttered, tightly holding on her drink.

taeyong sighs and scratched the nape of his neck. slightly regretting the current conversation due to his curiosity and him being desperate.

"you got into an accident." he told her. miyeong started to shiver not knowing her mysterious past.

suddenly, painful and tragic memories started to pour in her brain in a flash. the noir pictures that was seen in her eyes were blurred yet miyeong was able to remember some piece by piece.

"how was i... how did you know... even i don't know... who are you?"

"the one who saved you." taeyong smiled warmly.

"kim miyeong!" a familiar voice shouted as the boy ran inside to grab her hand forcefully.

miyeong froze as her boyfriend ran up to her and was yanked forcefully, hurting the girl.

"you're going with me." jaehyun spoke turning his direction towards taeyong who seemed calm and relaxed, "you should stop seeing, or even dare talking to my girlfriend. ever again." jaehyun warned.

taeyong smirked, "who's girl was she from the start?" he stated, "kim miyeong was mine. you stole her from me." he added causing jaehyun to flinch weakly.

"jaehyun, please let me go." miyeong cried out silently. "it's starting to hurt. my wrist is starting to hurt."

jaehyun ignored the girl as his eyes were glued to taeyong.

"what if she was yours from the start? you ruined her, hyung. you ruined her when she was yours!" jaehyun said, raising his voice that grabbed the public's attention a little.

"jaehyun, you're being paranoid again. i would never hurt my girl."

jaehyun's grip tightened, his face fuming with anger. he finally let loose as the girl managed to be free. although her boyfriend's angry fists we're close to hitting taeyong's face.

"you almost killed her. with your own hands! how could you say that?!" he commented making everyone shock including miyeong.

"you're nothing but a disappointment." jaehyun said, darting taeyong.

miyeong was dragged by her boyfriend's strong grip as she turned her head to see taeyong sadly smiling at her.

"i'll message you later." taeyong smiled, depressingly. waving his hand at the girl weakly.
