Moving

"Do I have to?"

"Yes you have to now go don't make this any harder for me Erica!" My mom said with frustration as she went back down stairs.

I don't understand why we have to move just because dad died. We had just gone to the funeral and yet mom is still set on moving. I wanted to go to Infadelfia University to get away from home, to have a taste of freedom.

"Erica please hurry up and get in the car. " I heard my mom say as she headed to the car.

"I'm coming." I said as I closed up my empty room. I walked down with my boxes. Before I got in the car I took one last look at my home that I had grown up in.

"Come on honey we are already late."

"Okay."I said as we began to pull out of the drive way. 

"Oh Erica where is the necklace!"

"Oh yea it's right here I forgot to give it to you."

"No you keep it that was the point of me making you go get it."

"Are you sure? Why would you give it to me when it's the most recent thing dad gave you." I didn't understand why was she giving it to me when dad gave it to her. Then I realized she was about to cry and I nodded and put the necklace on.

"No daddy please don't go mama still needs you I still need you." I screamed but he faded in the distance. All that was around me was complete darkness.

"Erica...Erica." I heard my mom shout  from the darkness. Then she came into view I tried to grab her hand but she was too far away.

"Mom reach out I can pull you back."

"Erica...Help me."

She was gone I couldn't see her and I couldn't move but I needed to find her. I couldn't  hear her for a while. I had to move I had to fight I needed to get her.

"You're not going anywhere Erica." (Anonymous)

"What who are you?" I looked out into the empty space not seeing anyone there.

"There is no point on running Erica we will get you and when we do we will kill you just like we did your father."

"What how do you know my father?"

"We will find you in time we will but for now say goodbye to your precious mother."

"Erica Help Me!"

"Mom where are you?"

"Erica...Erica...ERICA!" The sound of her voice faded and a bright light shined from a distance.

"Erica wake up Erica!"My mom said frantically.

"Okay I'm up please stop shaking me!" I started feeling like I'd rather be in a tornado that being shaken to death by my mom.

"Oh sorry are you ok you were screaming and tossing around?" My mom said in a frantic manner.

"Yeah I'm fine."

"Are you sure?"

"Yea."

"Okay well your dorm hall is right there and your room number is 28A."

"Okay thank you for the drive."

"I'll stop by tomorrow."

"Okay see you then." I said and she pulled away and drove off into the distance. She had an apartment about twenty miles from my dorm.

I guess I should go and meet my new roommate, I thought to myself. I couldn't get that voice out of my head "We will find you."
