It was the first day of school, and today was the day everyone would meet their new classmates.
"Good Morning everyone!" Greeted Miss Lee over the bustling crowd of eager students that were soon to be dreading everyday of the next school year.
"Your new classes will be called out now! When I say your name please go and line up in a straight line in front of your new teacher!"
As Miss Lee went through all of the classes, Class A... Class B... she finally reached the next class Class C...
"Okay Class C! Park Jihoon, Lee Daehwi, Ong Seungwoo" she started listing.
"Y/N, Lai Kuanlin, Yu Seonho, Choi Yoojung..."
All my best friends are in this class! I'm glad I get to be in this class!
As she read out the rest of the names for Class C, I picked up on an old name I'd heard years ago; Huang Justin... He was my childhood best friend!We'd lost communication, he'd found new friends, and so had I. Part of me was excited, but part of me was feeling uncomfortable... Justin was a player... Two of my best friends Kim Sohye and Choi Yoojung had both dated him for a day, and were brutally dumped the next day in front of everyone, and I was not going to let that happen to me!
If I'm going to be near him a lot, I'd better not fall for him! It's wise to stay just friends with a guy like him, that's hoping my friends will let me!
As we went to go and line up in front of out new teacher, Mr Park, Yoojung and Sohye immediately linked arms with me.
"Y/N~~ Please protect us from meanie Justin!" Yoojung chimed, using her best aegyo.
"Yes please Y/N~~!" Sohye added.
"Fine! I'll try! But we were childhood besties remember! Am I allowed to talk to him at least? I'll only speak to him if he speaks to me first!" I asked.
"Really Y/N!?" Yoojung's expression changed drastically.
"Common Yoojungi! Y/N is smart! She won't fall for him, right Y/N?" Sohye asked, placing her arm on my shoulder.
"Yeah! Yoojungi~~! I promise!"
"Fine... But you have to buy me lunch!"
"Yah! How's that fair!?" I shouted after her as she ran into the classroom giggling, closely followed by Sohye who shouted "And me!" before also entering the classroom. Ahhh, great! It's okay, I love my friends really a lot!
I walked towards the classroom when all of a sudden, someone grabbed my arm, pulling me into the storage cupboard, and pushing me against the wall.
"J-j-Justin!? What are you doing!?" I stuttered, frozen.
"Hey Y/N. Long time no see..." He said, his face inches away from mine.
"Y-yeah. Um we should probably go to class now..." I said, a nervous expression plastered all over my face.
I tried to walk out of his grip put he quickly moved me back to where I was before.
"You're not going anywhere until I get what you promised me." He said.
"W-what do you mean?" I murmured.
"You don't remember?" He smiled, I could feel his warm breath on my face that smelt like mint.
"N-no..." I looked down at my shoes. I felt guilty, but scared, unaware of what he wanted from me.
"Well... I'll show you." He gently lifted my chin, and slowly edged closer.
Our faces were now millimetres apart "Y/N. I know I've been known to be a player, but even back when we were best friends, I liked you. I never stopped loving you, and I never will. All those girls hearts I broke, I'm regretful, but I just wanted you to feel jealous. I dated your friends just to be closer to you, well at least for a day. Y/N. I love you."
"How am I supposed to trust you?" I looked into his beautiful dark eyes I remembered from all those years ago... please don't make me fall for you...
"I'll prove it right now..." he whispered as he closed the tiny space in between us, our lips touching as he kissed me.
"You trust me now?" He whispered again smiling at me.
"..."
"Y/N please! I love you!"
I could see tears in his eyes.
"Ple-" He was interrupted by my lips on his.
As I pulled away, I murmured "I love you too, but break my heart, and I'll get you back, I swear Mr Huang!"
"Yes Y/N! Thank you! I promise I won't break your heart!" He jumped up and down hugging me.
"I love you so much" he whispered, planting a kiss on my head before we stepped into the classroom.
