Chapter Seven | Mental Fatality

Do you ever feel like you're drowning and falling apart but you are physically okay? Or becoming notorious about whole thing and realised that it is just another mental fatality? This is a whole new story. It has been more than five years and yet none of memories about him disappeared from my mind. It's a mental fatality. I rubbed it off with loaded of works, packed schedules and preparation for The Fashion Week. The first mental fatality I had was in middle school.

The grand meeting for The Tuxedo Project will be held in two days and my palms keep on sweating every time I'm thinking about it. My life has been a hectic life since my first design was chosen by Vogue fashion criticist, Paige Edlund when I was in college for my masters in fashion designing. The headquarters looked as busy as me since New York Fashion Week is around the corner and every sensational and infamous people will be coming to watch our designs.

The knock on the door of my office room didn't startle me since there's already five people in my room, showing all of our best designs in front of me.

"Miss Evans, our local designers from Singapore and Australia are here," Hillary informed me.

"Ask them to meet me at the grand hall meeting room," I said and she nodded before strolling away.

"Let's move to grand hall meeting room," I told my staffs and they all packing up before strolling out from my room to the meeting room.

"Call Gerald," I told Pamela, one of my staffs and she nodded before stepping away to call him.

An hour in my office room and three hours in meeting room wasn't enough to make a decision on the designs that we are going to do for the fashion show. Gerald is one of my best pattern experts and also my executive designer, he knows how to deal with fabrics and the patterns.

"Hectic day?" He said once he walked through the meeting room's door.

"All the time," I said with a sigh.

Gerald helped me with the designs and arrange them all according to the patterns and I'm so glad that I have him in our team. The meeting ended at seven thirty and I'm sure this is just a beginning.

"Let's go for dinner everyone, it's on me, meet you guys at Marco's," I hollered and everyone cheered in exhausted. They did their best for the preparation and they need to boost up before working full time tomorrow.

I packed my stuffs and grabbed my coat before Gerald appeared at the threshold of my office room.

"Hey, Dee," he greeted.

"Hey, G."

"Sorry that I didn't greet you properly earlier," he said while walking towards me for a hug.

"It's fine, we were busy," I said before pulling off.

"Ready to go?" He asked and I nodded.

He offered his arm and I linked mine with his before we walked to my car where Taylor is already waiting for me.

"Where to go, Miss Evans?" Taylor asked once we all got into the car.

"Marco's please," I said and he nodded before accelerating on the road.

"How's Freddy?" I asked Gerald.

"Same old, we're celebrating our first anniversary next week, I hope you can come, I have some hot guys coming over," he said and I laughed.

"Yeah sure, count me in," I said.

We had dinner in Marco's with half of my employees and talked about our life instead of business because I want them to lose a bit before going back at work tomorrow with full energy.
