I miss you.

Jun dropped his pen onto the table and ran a hand through his hair. He looked out the window and saw the bright lights of the city at night. Thoughts clouded his mind and he couldn't think straight. He wondered what you were doing right now.

Were you sleeping? Were you awake?

He remembered how you liked to stay up late and watch the city. You would think about all the people who lived there and what their lives were like. It was a time for you to clear your mind and relax.

Jun remembered how you liked to do things the old fashion way. You liked to write letters to your friends, go to their house and hang out, and go for walks in the park. You didn't want to be a victim of the new technology that took over everyones lives these days.

Jun smiled at his memories of you.

How the two of you used to write letters to each other everyday even though you saw each other everyday. When you would go for long walks in the park with him. Or when you two would go to the roof of your apartment building and gaze at the stars all night.

His fond memories of you soon faded away and it was replaced by the memory of him leaving you.

Jun's face fell and he place his elbows on his desk, resting his face in his hands.

A sigh escaped his lips as he remembered the day he left you.

"I'll be back soon, okay?" He reassured you, wiping away your tears with his thumb.

You sniffled and embraced him tightly, you didn't want him to leave. More tears came out and you cried into his chest.

"Shhhhh, Y/N, I'm not going far. We can write to each other everyday! I'll check the mailbox all the time!" He tried his best to sound happy but you could still hear the sadness in his voice.

Collecting yourself, you looked up at him and held out your pinky. "Promise me that you will call and write to me everyday."

He smiled and wrapped his pinky around yours, "Promise."

The boy pulled you in for a hug and you cherished your last few moments with him.

"I love you."

"I love you, too."

A tear slipped out of Jun's eye and he quickly wiped it away. His heart was aching and it pained him so much.

He missed home so much. He missed seeing you everyday.

Taking a deep breath and collecting his thoughts, he picked up the pen.

Y/N, how have you been doing? It's been a while hasn't it? How's everyone doing back home? I wish I could be there with you, I really do.

I realized that we've drifted away from each other and it's understandable. I'm in Korea and you're still in China. It's hard to keep a close relationship with each other when we're so far apart.

I'm sorry for leaving you, I had to train in Seoul. I hope you can forgive me for leaving you and understand why I had to go.

Are you still writing letters to your friends? I hope you are. That was one of the many things I loved about you. I could make a whole list of all the things that I loved about you, it would never end.

Did you find someone else you loves you like I did? I hope he is a good boyfriend and is making you happy. I hope he is better than me, you deserve it.

I hope I was a good boyfriend. I hope I made lots of good memories for you. I know you definitely did for me.

Maybe I'll come back home soon, we'll see.

I'm sorry I broke our promise,
Wen Junhui

Gently putting the pen down, he quietly folded up the paper and slipped it into an envelope.

Writing down your address that he never forgot, he placed a stamp and closed the envelope. Silently picking up the letter with one hand, he stood up and walked towards the door.

He opened the door and was greeted by silence and darkness. Having lived here for so long, the boy didn't need to turn on the lights to see where he was heading.

Walking down the stairs and out the door, he stepped out onto the quiet street. He walked in the cold night air and headed towards the mailbox.

He held the envelope with both hands and stared at the front of it.

He was going to mail you this letter and did not know if you would write back or not. He didn't know what kind of reaction he would receive or if would get anything at all. He didn't even know if you still lived there.

Pushing the envelope through the slot with the courage he gathered, Jun turned away and quickly walked back to the dorm.

Now he would have to wait.
