All my life I have been told I'm beautiful,personally,I don't see it. No matter what I do I'm the sweet,innocent,beauty with a big heart. It's never bothered me until this morning. I met Ace Jackson,or the monster. I'm pretty sure that I fell for the guy and I mean quite literally. Let's start at the beginning.
6:00am Monday morning......
Today is this first day of school so I got up earlier than normal. I always seem to have trouble sleeping soundly when I know I have school.
I jump in the shower before cooking some pancakes for me and my three younger siblings. The twins (who I occasionally get mixed up) are Alec and Ash,they are ten. And my little sister Beth,she is four. I also have a older brother,Carter,he's at college.
"I want the maple syrup,Alec. I called dibs."whines Ash.
Alec scoffs "I'm older so I get the maple syrup first."
"Only by four minutes and I called dibs."
Alec sucks his tongue out at Ash as he dumps half the bottle on his one pancake. I sigh and shake my head before grabbing the bottle.
"Hey!"Alec says with a cute glare.
"If you can't share,I get the syrup."I smirk a bit.
They both frown and little Beth's eyes start to water.
"You all get syrup,I'm just in charge of it from on."
They sigh relief and Beth smiles. I roll my eyes and mumble "Little drama queens and kings."
I pour the syrup for each of them while I finish reading my novel for English.
Once we are all done I check the clock,eighteen minutes til they have to be at school. They are thankfully dressed and so am I in my tee shirt and jeans with my hair in a messy bun and my big black rim glasses.
I grab my keys and make my way to my car in garage. My many little ducklings follow closely. I buckle up Beth in her car seat and the boys buckle up in the back with their sister. We are gone in two minutes. Luckily we live in a huge school district. I drop off Beth first and then the twins.
When I'm alone I blast Hey Violet's song break my heart. Singing with the music I don't miss a beat. I love to sing but hate to sing in front of people. It makes me so nervous my voice ends up sounding like Goofy's laugh.
As I pull in the school parking lot I notice a familiar black Camaro. I shrug probably nothing. Parking use to be easier when I got here at five. I think before finally finding a spot.
When I walk in I'm greeted by the same sent of mildew and old paper as I have been for the past two years. Same locker same life just older. This should be fun.
12:04pm.......
When I walk into the lunch room I am greeted by my two friends. Ben,the jock and Sara,the popular. I have no clue why they like me so much.
"Hey,D,I missed you this summer." Sara says pulling me into a hug.
I hug her back "Missed you too. "
She finally lets go but I'm just wrapped back up by Ben's crushing bear hug.
"Need...... Oxygen"I rasp out.
He laughs before releasing me. I put a dramatic hand on the table and take a deep breath.
"Thanks."I breathe out.
"No problem." He smiles.
I sit soon followed by Sara and Ben.
"So,there is a party tonight at Josh's place. The whole school is going to be there. Are you going to come?" Asks Sara.
