When normies think you suck at hair and makeup when there's a good chance you're way better at it than them, considering the amount of effort it takes to straighten (and possibly curl the ends), tease, bleach and dye hair, and apply all that eye makeup perfectly. Dark makeup is not easy to put on, because if you mess up, you can see it!! and it's so messy to clean up.

Also, I know, fashion has evolved dramatically over time. Nowadays, at least where I live, girls wear off the shoulder tops and let their boobs hang out and skimpy shorts and tons of foundation and mascara and they do their eyebrows hella bold and all wear the same brands of everything and all wear the same hairstyles and stuff. I have to admit, it's a lot better than early 2000s normie fashions. Tadpole eyebrows that look like sperm? Clear lipgloss that makes it look like you're licking your lips constantly and leaving on a bunch of spit? Velour track suits?
