Life (todoroki shouto x reader)

Chapter 3: Rest

"16, 17, 18,... well seems like that's everyone and nearly everyone returned unscathed." The detective said towards the students as he wrote on a paper. The villains were being escorted behind him and being filled in the many police buses."Exscuse me sir but what about Mr. Aizawa!" Tsu asked as she hopped toward him. The detective held up a phone and a doctor's voice appeared. " The bones in his arms have shattered and the excessisive use of his powers have caused damage to his eyes. I can't promise his vision won't be effected but I can tell you he will recover." The Doctors voice ended. "There you have it he'll recover." He said making many of the students sigh with relief. "And 13!" Mina asked as she wiped tears from her golden eyes surrounded by black along with Momo. "Oh he's fine as well his own power did a number on his back but he'll definitely recover." The detective reassured them. "What about Deku and (y/n)!" Uraraka yelled. " yes what about midoriya " Oh the two students. Well Midoriya is being taken care of as we speak by recovery girl. He's nearly good as new. But as for (l/n) her injuries were severe even life threatening. Her rib cage is basically shattered, her lungs have been pierced, and also some severe organ damage, and many tears in her skin. Her quirk may be powerful but she still is just a little girl. There was only so much she could take." He said making the students gasp. "According to the reports she fought against the main enemies herself untill Almight came. Her quirk it's very powerful. So powerful it turns against her. Right now we're doing our best to treat her but unfortunately her quirk is doing so for us which is slowing down the process. It may hurt her but it also heals. It's a very extraordinary gift. However, According to her readings she's slowly but surely recovering." He said trying to calm the shocked children. "Hey everyone calm down. We'll organise to see her, Midoriya, and our teachers when we get  back to school. Todoroki is with her now so there's absolutely no reason to worry." Iida said. "Wait Todoroki went with Her? Man he never gives us that kind of attention." Eijirou said as he ruffled his red hair. "Someone's jealous." Tsu said with a grin. " Hey I don't swing that way!" He screamed at her as everyone laughed at him.
Meanwhile
Todoroki sat on a chair reading a book. He looked over at your sleeping form

The sight was for some reason a relief. The image of your bloodied form in his arms came back to him. Blood was everywhere. It looked like you were going to die then and there. But you miraculously pushed through. You were covered head to toe in bandages. And had many plugs and needles in you pumping chlorophyll, blood, and plant medicines. He had asked Recovery girl what in the world she was doing when he saw her pouring such things in the bags where the needles connected too. "I know what I'm doing you little brat. Everyone's quirks are different. Just like if you were in such a condition. I'd have to account for your strange temperatures. This girl has a strong connection with a quirk to the point it effects her body. Like yours. She needs nature like supplements to heal faster. Look here." She said as she moved the girls (hair/ blanket if you have really short hair) from her neck to reveal small cuts starting to heal.  He looked at you. Now you were healing fast but your severe injuries were much slower. "ngh..." He stood up and quickly stood at your side. Your eyes slowly opened and
you slowly turned to take in your surroundings. You met those familiar warm and cold eyes making you give a small smile. "Hello Todoroki." You said in a small hoarse voice followed by small cough. He sighed and handed you a glass of water from the table at your side. You greatfully took it and and took a large gulp and sat the cup back down. You suddenly remembered everything that happened. You immeadiately sat up and stood up. You grunted in pain as you fell towards the ground. Of course Todoroki managed to catch you. " where is everyone?! Is anyone hurt?! Oh my goodness Mr. Aizawa and-"
"Its fine. Everyone is ok" he interrupted you. Tears were begining to gather in your eyes. You were so worried about everyone. "But-"
" Everything's been taken care of. You need to rest." He said calmly as he put you back in bed gently. He wiped away the small tears with his thumbs. You looked up at him with curious glossy eyes.

He blushed and looked away. "What is it?" He asked while he gave you a slight glance before turning away again to hide his face.
"Thank you Todoroki." You said with a small smile. Then you thought of something."Now that I think about it have you been here the entire time I've been asleep?" You asked. He nearly fell over in shock. "I-It doesn't matter. Anyway I'll go get you some food your probably hungry. You've been asleep for awhile now. Recovery girl called your Dad but he said he was too busy to come. He said to stay here for as long as you need. " He said as he gained his composure. You nodded. Before he turned to leave you grabbed a hold of his shirt and hugged his torso. "Thank you so much Todoroki for everything." You said. You were so grateful. He had saved your life and then stayed with you at the hospital. He bent down on one knee so your head was on his shoulder and hugged you back. "Shouto."
"Hm?"
"Call me Shouto." He said in a calm voice. You sat back up and looked at him. You gave him a huge smile. "Alright then. Thank you Shouto." He slightly blushed. "Geez what a handful." He said as he stood and ruffled your hair. "I'll be back I'm gonna get some food for us. Don't you dare move. Your injuries are serious enough." He said as he walked out. You smiled and looked out the open window. The cherry blossoms were blooming and the sky was a vibrant blue. "I'm so glad everyone is ok." You said to yourself.  "Be more worried about yourself! Geez you've been running me rampant you troublesome girl. I've been healing your body day and night. Those injuries you received could kill any man!" Terra said. " Ah sorry about that I'll be more careful next time." You said apotogetically. " no more of your filthy lies! You and I both know your just going to dive head first when there's a sign if danger like you always do!" She yelled. You just nervously laughed. She was right you do always do that. The door opened and Todoroki walked back in with a plastic bag in his hand. He handed you a hand made bento. " woooaahh!"  Your eyes sparkled. It looked delicious. "There's a cafe close to here that sells them." He explained as he started to eat his own.  You took apart your chopsticks and took a bite. You hummed in approval. "This is amazing!" You exclaimed with a slight blush and a large smile. "When you get better I'll take you sometime just the two of us." He said without thinking then blushing at his own words. "Wow really! That would be so much fun." You said happily completely oblivious that it would be a date.  'What an airhead' Todoroki thought as he ate a small bite of rice. After they ate he through the bentos away. "Excuse me Ms.(l/n). It's time for your sponge bath." A nurse said happy to see you up. "I'll take that as my cue to leave. I'll see you tomorrow (y/n)." He said as he got up. " Alright then bye Shouto." You said as the nurse came in with a bucket of water. He waved goodbye as he stepped out and closed the door behind him. 'What a strange girl.' He thought as he walked off with a faint blush on his face. He looked at the sunset as he stepped outside. 'I hadn't realised I stayed so long. I guess I lost track of time. I guess anyone could especially around her' He thought with a small smile.

Sorry for not updating for so long! Finals are coming up and teachers are piling the work so it's a bit tricky to get everything done! Once finals are over with I'll update more frequently.
