Me: I'm just flirting. It's really no big deal!

Me: You have no idea how badly I want to.

I hung up the phone. I have heard her give that speech about 30 times in the past week.

Maybe she's right. Maybe I should tell him how I feel.

Oh! I can do it when we go on our trip... Every year during summer me and my friends go to Florida! I can ask him to come with us...

Charlynn: So what are you doing this summer?

Me: You know... All of us go on that trip. I can't believe that you can't come this year!

Charlynn: Ugh! I know... My moms MAKING me go to see Aunt Linda.

Me: The one who always makes you listen to classical music and gives you cookies that tastes like-

Our conversation got cut off as the bell rang letting everyone know that school was out for the summer.

I was heading to my locker to grab my things when Austin came.

Austin turned me around and pushed my back against the lockers and made it so our faces were 2 centimeters apart.

His cool minty breath sent chills down my spine.

Austin: So, babe, what are you doing this summer?

Me: Going on a trip. You wanna come with? It's going to be me, you-

Austin: I'm in.

Me: Ha. Ha. Very funny. Let me finish. Me, you, Abigail, Josh, Lakyn, Andrew, Blake, Erin, Matthew, and Hayes.

Austin: Nope. Too many people for me. I'm out.

Me: Oh come on... We can walk on the beach, and go on dates, and ride roller coasters, and a lot of other crazy fun stuff at the boardwalk. It will be like one big long date.

Austin: How long?

Me: 2 weeks.

Austin: Can I sit next to you in the car?

Me: Ugh! If you have to...

I rolled my eyes.

Austin: Stop... I know you want to sit my me.

Me: Yeah, maybe I do... Or maybe I don't...

Austin started to laugh at me. I playfully punched him and he pretended like it hurt.

Austin: Ouch! That really hurt.

I could see his smirk.

Me: Awe... You want me to kiss it and make it feel better?

I said in a baby voice.

Austin: Yes.
