London was the only place where the Steampunk era occurred. But, no one else knew the Steampunk era also happened in Gravity Falls, Oregon. It was also known as Steampunk Falls for its technology similar to London. The famous inventor, Stanford Pines, was the one who came back from London with Steampunk equipment and material. From there, he was known as the "Father of Steampunk" in Steampunk Falls. His two children, Tiffany and Ryan Pines, helped him with his studies around Gravity Falls until one day he goes missing. The twins took over for him, making Steampunk equipment for everyone.
