He relaxed considerably, enough for me to notice everyone else here. I hugged each of them very happy to be back.

"How was you're trip?" Jace asked

"It was great, each pack got me a present and Taniah helped me pick out one for each of you too" I said as we walked out of the airport

The flashes of multiple cameras stunned me before the guards resumed their positions around us.

I took a shaking Taniah into my arms as we all walked quickly towards the limo.

I could feel Bri stirring and pacing agitatedly around my mind muttering obscenities under her breath.

"Why the paparazzi?" I asked after everyone was in

"You missed mom and dad's annual gala and they would like to know why" Jace said jerking his thumb towards the window gesturing towards the cameramen

"You would think after attending them all these years they'd be tired of seeing you" Emily said

I shrugged "I never knew it mattered if I was there or not"

"What do you mean Amber? Your were pretty much the only reason people looked forward to attending" Jace said

"What's the gala for?" Sebastian asked

"It started out as a simple charity event but when Amber showed up to the first one an hour late dressed in jeans and a t shirt before proceeding to tear it up on the dance floor, more people began attending and dropping boat loads of cash just to have one night of paparazzi free genuine fun. For Amber to miss it for the first time ever this year is a huge deal to the celebrities" Jace said

"Well when you put it that way" I laughed

"How was your trip Taniah?" Alex said

I looked over and saw the saddened expression on Taniah's face. "Good" she replied simply looking out the window

I picked her up placing her in my lap and tickled her.

"Mommy! S- s-top it!" She said through her laughter

"Only if you tell everyone about the trip" I said

"Ok! Ok!" She said

I stopped inflicting joy onto my little girl and waited patiently as she dramatically composed herself.

She then went into the story of our trip from the time we left to the time we arrived back. I had to stop her from revealing their gifts a few times. When she finished we were just pulling up to the house.

Taniah was the first one out. She looked around before running in the direction of the playground most likely to relay the story to her friends.

"You both seem way more comfortable around each other than you were before you left" Jace said

"Most people are that way with their child" I said shrugging

"Am she's just like you" Emily said

I looked at her "we have similarities but she's also different from me"
