Chapter 10

I threw random clothes into my backpack and ran into the living room to see them both sitting in silence.

A breath of relief left my chest and I smiled.
I know I should trust my mom but its hard to anymore.
Shes a mess.
And I know its all my fault so that makes it even worse.
"JD? You r-ready to go?"

His head jerked up slightly and he grinned up at me.
"If you are"
I nodded and walked over to my mother, hugging her tightly.
"Ill see you tomorrow momma. I p-promise."

Her aged face smiled and she placed her hand on my face.
"How about you have your friend come over and stay tomorrow night baby. I wanna meet her."
My eyes fall to the floor and I fake a smile quickly.
I almost forgot I was lying to my mom about where I was staying.
And suddenly panic started to sink in.
What is she gonna do when I don't bring a friend back tomorrow...

Shell probably go out and drink, and never let me speak to JD again...
Im so stupid.
I could just ask one of the girls.
Probably veronica.

"S-sure mom sounds great. Im sure Veronica's gonna be ecstatic to meet you"
She grinned and kissed my cheek.
"I love you sweetheart."
JD and I were almost out the door when she opened her mouth again.

"Also tell that JD he passes my tests"
I smiled and thanked my mother before hoping on the back of JD's motorcycle and riding back to his house.

"Veronica huh?"
I raised my eyebrow over at JD as he lay on the bed watching my straighten my hair.

"wh-hat's so wrong with Veronica"
He shook his head kindly and laughed "nothing. Just doesn't seem like someone to go along with your little scheme here."

I got up and crawled my way over to his side of the bed so that I was laying on top of him.
"I like Veronica. I t-think she could be my actual friend JD..."

His hands twirled and tugged on my newly straightened strands as he played with my hair.
"I just don't want you to get hurt again.."

I sat up a little so i could look at him.
And my body mealted. He gave me this....this look and I just.
I think I love him.
I think im truely.
Honestly.
In love with Jason Dean.
Holy fuck.

I took my lip between my teeth and smiled sweetly.
"She wont hurt me Jason.."
I figures saying his actual name would show him how much faith i had in veronica. And I was right.
His smile softened and he released a small breath.
"I just if you trust her. Ill trust her. But the minute you even look the smallest bit upset. Shes dead"

I laughed and snuggled closer to him.
"Yeah. Yeah. Now g-go to sleep you ol' psychopath"

"A sleep over?"
Veronica smiled as I proposed the idea to her.
JD wasnt excatly happy with me not staying another night with him but if my mom wants to meet my friend. Shes gonna meet a friend.

"Yeah I t-think it'll be fun"
She smiled even wider and got slightly closer to me.
"Anythings better then a sleepover with the heather's"
We both laughed until our sides hurt and I smiled up at her.
"I knew you were a g-good one veronica."

She hugged me then returned my smile.
"You too kid"
