The most hip-hop/rap song started to play. I believe my brother downloaded this onto my phone. I don't mind it, so I shout along with the song. "One time for my LA sisters! One time for my LA hoes! Lame-"
"Didn't think of you as the ghetto type."
I jumped up in embarrassment and fright. I ran to my phone to shut the music off.
"Why didn't you knock," I yelled at Nate.
"I did, but you didn't answer. So I just came in," he argued.
"And you didn't think that I'd be changing!" I waved my hands at the towel I'm in.
"I've waited down stairs for a half an hour, playing game with your brother!"
I look down, feeling more embarrassed. "Oh, damn. Uh. Sorry. I'll just throw on some clothes and we'll head out." He was still standing by my door when I fetched my clothes from my closet. "Get out!"
"Right! I knew that!" He stumbled out, tripping on his feet. "Oh, fuck!" He closed the door after his encounter.
I giggle. Nate is so cool, yet, so hilarious sometimes.
I change into my favorite red, long sleeved, cropped shirt and black leggings with a pair of white Converse. I skipped down the stairs with my hair in a messy bun and told Nate to turn away from the video game that he was playing with Aaron.
"Frig off, Blair! He needs guy time right now," Aaron whined.
"Sorry, bud. I need-" I interrupt Nate.
"He needs to get undies," I simply say.
"Oh! Gets some," my idiot of a brother shouted with excitement then slapped Nate on the back. Nate winced in pain. "Who'd you score this time? Britney-big-boobs? Rachel the redneck?"
"Dude... I'm not that low." Nate's phone buzzed. He glanced at his phone then says, "let's bounce."
We're driving in Nate's red Audi convertible again. He said we had to go to Target for a few items for his suite like: a tooth brush, tooth paste, shampoo, etc.
"Do you not have the bathroom accessories in your suite?" I rolled my window down, letting the cool breeze flow inside. I love the feeling of the wind in my face. I moaned and closed my eyes for the wind felt soothing. The sun shined down on us. It felt warm and welcoming.
He doesn't answer my question.
I opened my eyes to figure out why he didn't reply. We're at a red light. Nate is staring at me with admiration. His green-brownish eyes shined with compassion. He looked deviously handsome with his ruffled cherry hair. For a slight second, it felt like he liked me. It felt like he desired for me. The feeling felt genuine. But... We're talking about a rich guy who can get any girl he wanted. I may think lowly of myself, but this is reality and I plan on staying in reality.
He cleared his throat and continued to pay attention to the road as he drove. "I didn't have the time to check if I had any in my bathroom. We moved into the suite a week ago. I was staying with a couple of my buddies but, luckily, my mother bought the suite anyway. The guys that I was staying with... We had some difficulties with each other."
"So you're buying the stuff just in case?"
"Yep."
