Fire and Ice

Chapter #2 Frost part 1

Frost Glacierus Aurorus the 3rd. Was the crown prince of Aurora (city of ice) son of king Zero Polaris Aurorus the 2nd (he was a tall older version of frost minus the purple eyes and silvery hair,those were traits of Frost's mother) and queen Star north Aurorus(she was a beautiful woman, inches short of the king,with purple eyes and silvery hair done in a long braid down her back). Frost lived a pampered life and wasn't allowed to play with non noble children. He was forced to associate with boring noble children who thought reading was fun. He couldn't even associate with non nobles in the slightest way. And it was too bad because non nobles were more fun. Non nobles went hunting, did whatever they pleased,slept carelessly, married whoever, and lived wherever, they could be as wild and as civilized as they wanted without constantly being lectured. Non nobles had the one thing he didn't, and that was freedom. He wasn't able to adapt to being royal. He was truly an unorganized wild child who did whatever he pleased landing him in serious trouble at times. He was told at a young age he had to act a certain way, take a ridiculous amount of classes ,and last of all ,marry only for advancements of the kingdom. Meaning he couldn't choose who he would marry. And frost was reluctant to accept that fact, so at the very tinder age of 10 he began plotting his escape. He trained until he couldn't move, he complied with all he was told to do , and he became the ideal son. And that was soon about to change.
Frost was 5"8, piercing purple eyes, long silvery hair, skinny and toned, 120 lbs, little facial hair, he had a happy go lucky face and he loved to fight.
He was still under training to become a celestial (a warrior of ice) and he was a damn good student, but unlike the rest he never got to participate in missions. He longed for glorious battle most, which was not the way of the ice tribe.
All his life he's wanted to make his mark, but was locked away in the royal palace ,never allowed to leave. His father was way too protective ,and treated him like he was the only heir. He had 6 other siblings (Crystal,Icess,Tundra,Gale,Saraphina and, Twilight) they were celestials as well and they were all girls.
They were beyond capable of ruling, and being great queens,
but the ice king believed that only a man should rule, so he locked his son away in fear of danger.
Frost was born after the elemental Tribe wars, when the elemental treaty was signed.
For 2 long months, a series of murder's occurred, prompting the ice king to take action.
He set a curfew for all ice tribesmen. He appointed guards at every corner of the kingdom.
He locked down the Star pallace, (the royal palace of Aurora) applying extra guards all over.
He added more guards to his son's personal protection squad once the string of heinous murders occurred . The murders all had 2 things in common, each victim had their throats slit and their arms burnt to a crisp .
The king sat in the throne room, the queen at his side with her ladies, hearing all the reports . He was beyond paranoid. For someone so powerful , he was scared out of his mind.
The most recent murder was of a noble holding a high standing on the Royal ice court. And that very report drove the king mad. If an assassin could reach a high ranking noble, then he could reach his chosen heir.
So the king took extra precautions.
He was so caught up in the protection of his heir, that he forgot about every other member of his family. Shutting them out and using them as pawns. The queen was growing tired of it by the moment.
Zero: my son is to remain in his chambers, extra guards, he is to be fed every 2 hours no exceptions ,all of his food and beverage taste tested (he declared with intensity) one more thing, summon my daughter's. (After hearing his decree, the queen shot an outraged look his way)
The kings daughters were the fiercest celestial squad, and warriors of the ice kingdom.
The king was willing to do anything to protect his heir. Even if it meant sacrificing his beloved daughters.
Star north : My dear you must'nt, they're our own flesh and blood. Your daughter's!!!!! ( she cried)
Zero: my queen!!! I am the ruler of this kingdom and you will respect my wishes!!!
Star north : From the day we married, I swore to be by your side and to respect your wishes!!!And I have, but make no mistake. The day the life of my children, my daughter's specifically ,are in danger . There will be blood, there will be revenge and there will be scorn the likes of which you've never seen.
I promise you , I will take up the blade once again and deal with you myself (she said with hostility, as she turned and exited the room with her ladies.)
The king sat there in silence. Pondering the words his wife and queen spoke from her very lips .
For the queen was the fiercest warrior of the kingdom, she was also the one responsible for the training of her daughter's, and was the last remaining member of her former squad that survived.
She forfeited her blade for marriage, but was prepared to take it up once more. The love in her heart for her son, now overshadowed by scorn and hatred, for her son was now the reason why the lives of her daughter's were now in danger.
As she wondered the halls, radical thoughts coursed through her mind. And she began to plot and scheme. Her daughters passed her in the hall bowing in respect, while on their way to the king for the receiving of their future order's.
Her first order of business was freeing her son from the confines of his chamber's...................
Frost sat bored within the confines of his chamber's plotting his way out. One thing was for certain, he wanted to be the one to bring glory to his kingdom and home. He wanted to end his father's unease as well. He felt his father treated him like a child, and that his father treated him like he was incapable. He'd been plotting his escape for 7 long years he was now 17, holding resent in his heart for the murderer. He wanted to make the murderer pay. He felt the murderer was one of the reasons why he never knew true freedom.
The night was dark and cloaking and frost was preparing for his departure, and he sure wasn't the only one.
The queen herself, stole into the night. Dressed in all black, bearing 2 blades and thin armor, she took out the guards in front of her sons doors with ease.
She moved to steal into her sons chamber's when she was stopped dead her tracks by her daughters, who by the way blocked her path. They stepped right out of the shadows, battle ready. The hall was narrow, but that meant nothing to them.
Twilight : we know who you are mother, drop your blades (she said clutching her long sword.)
Icess: how could you kill your own?, and then try and frame those of the fire tribe? Are you trying to start a war (she said filled with disapointment)
Star north: I have done no such things.
Crystal: then why are you doing this??? Why did you viciously dispatch these guards??
Star north paused
Tundra: answer her!!!!! (Tundra yelled with anger)
Star north: to free my child from this life. No longer will he be confined to his chambers because of the ridiculous fears of his king and father. No more, shall you be denied the love of your father because of your brother. I will make sure he escapes. I've been aware of his plans for years now, and as his mother I shall grant his wish. I will not go easy on any that stand in my way.
Gale: oh mother, (she said with sympathy, as a tear ran down her face. She quickly sided with her mother.
Saraphina :always the goody goody one that never disobeyed mother. I guess it can't be helped (she said, as she too sided with her mother) I'm tired of being treated like some sheild for frost, I am a living being....... And besides, I'm not fighting my little sister.
Frost stood at his door, blade in hand on high alert as he eavesdropped on their conversation.
He feared for his mother and sisters, who went from conversation to an all out brawl in the hall.
Star north was launching non stop attacks, backed up by gale and saraphina. She erected a thick ice wall to hold Icess, twilight, Tundra and crystal. They we're indeed formidable, but the queen was too sharp.
She kicked down Frost's door to see him already ready.
Frost :I heard what you said mother, what's the plan (he said excited to finally be free for once, even if for a moment.)
Star north: My son we must move quickly, (she said handing him a map,and sack full of food and provisions.) Saraphina and Gale will hold off your other sister's but for now follow me.
Star north and Frost zoomed down the narrow halls, making turn after turn until they reached a dead end. The wall of ice was now crumbled to the ground, and the sisters once again in battle. The alarm bells went off and troops were now on their way. Phalanx after phalanx, Gale and Saraphina now restrained and caught, after being overwhelmed by raging troops.
Icess, tundra, crystal, and twilight now hot in pursuit of Frost and Star north.
Star north touched random spaces on the icy wall which unlocked a secret passage. The passage door swung open, and the sisters and troops arrived.
Twilight :surrender mother, and you Frost, return to your chambers!!!!
Crystal : you've disgraced our name mother, give up (she said as tears began to form in her eyes.
Tundra:you'd better not be going soft Crys.
Star north: go Frost!!!! I'll hold them. Follow the map and you'll be fine
Icess :oh no you don't (she said as she moves toward frost, but was instantly clocked by star north.)
They engaged in battle ,it was Star north vs her daughter's,and star was winning. She was hit with an arrow and brought to her knees. As frost reluctantly obeyed his mother and escaped through the passage. He now watched as his mother was restrained and brought to her knees in the hall, looking back while running as the door slowly yet quickly closed behind him.
