All eyes were on them as they walk towards the lift. Some are confused and shock as they recognize April's appearance. And there were also smiling. All the employees greeted them with politeness and a smile plastered their faces.
Ivan squeezed her hand to tell that is okay.
Georgina on the other side was all out smiling to the employees of the huge company.
"Good morning Mr. Anderson. Good morning, ma'am. And hello to you, Miss Georgina."
"Hello to you too, Miss Claudia." Georgina cheerfully answered to a woman.
"Good morning, Claudia-"
"Mommy look!" Biglang singit ni Georgina.
Nahigit ni Claudia ang hininga nang marinig ang sinabi ng bata. Akala kasi nito, kamukha lang ng yumaong asawa ng boss ang babae. Ngunit sa narinig sa sinabi ng bata naliwanagan ito.
"Mommy isn't it beautiful?"
Turo nito sa higanteng chandelier na nakasabit sa itaas.
Ngumiti si April. Masuyong hinaplos ang buhok ng bata.
"It is, sweetie."
"I will see you in a bit, Claudia. Please bring up all the documents I need to sign in my office. I'll be off before noon."
"Yes, sir. I'll be there in a minute."
"Thanks." The woman turn her back. Binalingan ni Ivan ang dalawang babae. "Let's go, ladies?"
"Yes, daddy!" Si Georgina na hindi maitago ang excitement sa mukha.
He has a private lift on the building, as they rode up. He wrapped an arms around her waist.
"Relax..." He whispered near with her ear. She just gave him a timid smile.
As the lift opened. Her eyes glued to a high class floor worth millions dollars so as the whole huge elegant company building.
Seems like she knew the place long time ago but she couldn't remember if she had been step her foot in the place.
"Go-oh my God! Ma'am Veronica? Buhay ka?" Bulalas ng secretary ni Ivan sa hindi makapaniwalang reaction.
Hindi malaman ni April ang isasagot sa babae. Pinisil ni Ivan ang kamay nito.
"She's April."
"Oh, I'm sorry sir, ma'am." Hinging paumanhin ng babae.
"Okay lang." Kiming sagot ni April na may kasamang pag-ngiti.
Alanganin namang tumango ang secretary. Naroon pa rin ang pagkagulat sa mukha nito.
Hinila ni Ivan papasok sa loob ang dalawang babae.
"What do you want? Coffee, tea or anything?"
"No, thanks. I'm fine, si Georgina na lang." Yumuko si April sa paslit na nawiwili sa paglalaro ng manikang bitbit. "Baby may gusto ka bang kainin?"
"Hmn..." nag-isip ito. Pagkaraay umiling din. "No, I don't want to eat anything, mommy. I just want to play with Kina." Kina is the name of her doll.
"All right, just tell me if you want something, sweetheart." Si Ivan ang sumagot. Tumingin din ito kay April. "Are you sure you want, nothing? How about-"
"I'm fine really, sige na magtrabaho kana, dito lang kami ni George."
Ivan heaved a soft sigh and caressed her face. "All right, feel yourself comfortable."
May kumatok sa pinto.
"Come in." Sigaw ni Ivan.
Si Claudia ang pumasok. Bitbit ang mga dokyumento na kailangan niya permahan.
