Chia, "well it didn't seem like you were interested in her because weeks went by and not a Goldman thing happened. You don't know how to pick up a phone?"

Carter, "I'm sorry we haven't been introduced . I'm Carter and I've been friends with Jayden for almost his whole life. Now listen I know that he's been a bit sketchy in getting back to your sister but this album has taken over his life. My man has been putting his heart and soul into the work and he's neglected the most important factor of how life"

Chia, "look I'm not some average was chick that wants to hear about some stupid shit about why you're not talking to her. But I know that Nadya falls easily for some stupid shit so when she comes home I'll tell her that you called"

Me, "is mommy home? Can if talk to her?"

Chia, "my g ain't nobody like suck-ups. What so you want?"

Me, "I just want to come in and check on her. Like I can't see how she's doing?"

Chia, "goddamn you make my life so complicated for no reason. Now she's cooking so don't expect much conversation"

Me, "okay chia".

After we came inside I saw that the house was mad empty and the kids were sleeping on the couch. I saw ann run over to me and give me a hug like we were longtime friends. After I introduced my boys to her and I saw Chai looking at Amari. He was focusing on the food and she offered to make is some food but Danny was looking for me. He kind of invited us all to dinner at the house and Ann was cool with is staying. It was family night so the rest of the family would be coming over after work and I knew that was going to be crazy.

As Ann finished up cooking it was minutes to 5 and my stomach was in real knots. I had no idea what I was going to say to Nadya and I wasn't sure how she would respond to me. Like I had somewhat blown her off for the album and that wasn't cool. As I thought about it more I knew that I would have to talk to Chai and see what was really going on. She played games and may throw shade on me for a minute but she had love for me and would tell me the info that I needed. So I found Chai outside talking to Amari but he was really paying no type of attention to her. When he saw me I knew that he was happy to finally get a chance to take a break from her.

Me, "look Chai can I talk to you?"

Chai, "what? like you always come to me for some random stuff and I'm not cool with that"

Me, "chai I'm being serious like I need to ask you something important"

Chai, "what is it?"

Me, "I wanted to know how Nadya has been? like I really never meant to hurt her but I've been working"

Chai, "Look J you're a nice kid and all that but Nadya is a grown woman and she doesn't have time to be wasting on a man. She had to deal with random stuff when it came to her baby daddy and I'm sure that she knew what she was getting into when you two started hanging together"

Me, "but do you think that she's going to be okay with me having dinner with her and the family? like I'm just popping up out of nowhere"

Chai, "look it's a bit strange that your here but I can say that your serious about her. Like I know you have an album coming out tomorrow and instead of hitting up parties you're just eating with us and I'm sure that she will like that but you're going to have to win her back on your own"

Me, "you see I would be able to do that of I had the right amount of time. But I'm supposed to be heading on tour in like three weeks and I know that she's not going to want to come. Like road life is hard and if we have Zion with us that's going to be a killer"

Chai, "you never know. She's take a semester off from school so she's not really doing anything, I mean other than working at the club but I would love to come on tour with you"

Me, "if you trying to get at my man then a tour won't be the right place. He's a real clique man but I can help to out of you help me out"

Chai, "what's he like? like I've been trying to make some moves on him but he's all talk and no play. Does he not like me?"

Me, "he's been mad chill today so just give him down type to warm up. He's a really sweet dude when he wants to be and I'm sure that he thinks you're a cool chick"

Chai, "now I'm not trying to sound like a groupie or something but how many of your boys are down here with you?"

Me, "I got everyone with me at the house but I wasn't going to bring all of them over here. Y'all aren't ready for all of that"

Chai, "okay so is Dequan here?"

Me, "okay so I see that you have an eye on a certain person but don't start anything with him. I'm the first to say that he's a major player and it doesn't matter who he's with"

Chai, "oh I'm be into him. I was just him going to ask for a favor. My homegirl knows his work and wanted to ask if she could get a best by him"

Me, "so why didn't you just tell me, like I make beats too"

Chai, "uh that's cool but she wants something by him"

Me, "well he's going to want to hear her rap first and then he's going to decide what he's going to do. He just doesn't make beats for anyone and it's going to be hard since he's in high demand"

Chai, "well tonight were going to be at Pleasant so just come by and see what she's about"

Me, "why is she performing at a strip club? like she make club records?"

Chai, "no she work there but they have a lounge now so it's not all dirty. Is that going to be a problem?"

Me, "nah. We gonna come throw but don't tell anyone. D don't like to be hanging around with all the cameras and people on him"

Amari, "hey j, the food is ready and I think your girl is here"

Chai, "well go in there and don't say some stupid shit to her. She's just going to want honesty"

Me, "okay thanks chai. You're a real life saver"

Chai, "I just do what The Lord commands me to do. Like I'm just blessed with the ability to help others"

As we walked inside I wasn't sure what to expect. Most of the family was already sitting at the table and my boys had made their way to the table. I didn't see Nadya and that just increased the amount of pressure that I was faced with. But as I moved closer to the table I saw Nadya come out of a room and she looked beyond shocked to see me.
