"Bailey, where are you?" I heard my Mom calling me.

"Mom, I'm in the backyard." I replied.

My mommy is very sweet though she is too caring.
I'm seven years old now and I can look after myself but she is always concerned about me.

Her name is Amanda and my Dad's name is Harry.

I have a baby sister too.
Her name is Misty and she is 12months old now.

We were supposed to go for shopping today so I was very excited.

We couldn't leave Misty alone so we had to take her with us.
Her nanny was on leave.

So in an hour or so, we left.

We went to the mall first, and bought groceries.

Then we went to the fair that was held in the park near my house.

I had been begging Mommy to take me there.

So I excitedly hopped when we entered the park.
The park was huge and so was the fair.

There were so many stalls.
You could find items of every country there.
Infact the stalls were named after the country whose products were being sold.

But first of all I headed towards the swings.
I took a ride on the merry-go-round and the big wheel and the jumping horses.
It was so much fun.

Then we ate some pizza and ice cream, from another stall nearby.

I was very happy.
We were just leaving when I saw the Egyptian stall.

There was a really beautiful mirror kept there.

"Mommy, I want that mirror," I pleaded.

She asked the lady sitting there the price of the mirror.

"This isn't for sale," she responded.

"Please. I want this mirror. I love it." I begged to that lady.

"Child. This is not for sale and that's final," she said.

I was so upset that I started crying.

I could see her expressions change.

"Okay fine. You can take it. But promise me you won't ever open this mirror," she said.

"How can I open a mirror?" I asked.

"I mean this mirror has a little cabinet behind it. Do not open it no matter what happens" she said.

"Okay I promise I won't," I said with a smile.

She didn't take even a single penny for that mirror but Mom insisted to pay so she accepted a few dollars.

We couldn't take it for free. It was such a huge mirror. And it was so beautiful.
The lady took our address and said that she would get the mirror delivered to our house in an hour.

We then went home.

"So you're happy Bailey?" Mommy asked me.

"Yes I am very very very happy Mommy. Thank you so much. I love you" I said and hugged her.

"I love you more baby," she responded.

Like the lady said, the mirror was delivered to our house in an hour.

Since I loved the mirror so much, Mommy let me keep it in my room.

I was damn happy. I had such a beautiful mirror in my room.

We kept the mirror just in front of the bed so that I could see myself whenever I wanted to.

Soon it was bed time. We had pancakes for dinner and then went to bed.
Dad was out of town for a few days.
I couldn't wait to show the mirror to him.

I turned off the lights, leaving the night lamp on.
I couldn't sleep in dark. It seemed scary.

It must have been an hour or so since I was sleeping when I heard a sound.

Bailey....get up Bailey.

I immediately got up.
I looked around everywhere but couldn't see anyone.

Just then I saw the mirror, in which I could see myself still sleeping.

I waved my hands, changed my posture but nothing changed.
I could still see myself sleeping.
