I wake up as usual with tears running down my face, after I wipe them away with the back of my hand I quickly turn to my bedroom window to see my parent's car turn out of the driveway. Warily I get out of my bed to go take a shower, the scalding water runs down my back and on my face washing away the memories of last night's dream. After spending, what felt like years under the calming water I get out of the shower and get through the rest of my morning quietly.

I loudly close my front door and lock it in a hurry, my feet pound the ground as I run quickly to my bus stop that is nearly two blocks away. Upon arrival, I feel a pair of arms around my shoulders shaking me, instantly I shout to my best friend, "Izzy! What is up!" with a big smile. She quickly responds with 'the sky' and smirks at me.

As we both board the bus along with the rest of the kids at our stop and sit down I start getting interrogated about my summer. "So, tell me, how where the last few weeks swimming at the swim camp?", she questions but, before I can even answer another thousand questions tumble out her mouth. "Did you win any competitions? Did you meet any cute guys?" she asks wiggling her eyebrows.

"Well...I did win several competitions, obviously" I say and she rolls her eyes with a knowing smirk. "And there might have been a couple good looking guys, you know six pack and all but, don't get too excited I didn't care enough to talk to them better yet get close."

She gives me a disappointed sigh," Why do I even try with you? You'll never get a boyfriend! You were thrown in the best team in the state full of muscle packed, toned, hot, swimmer bodies and you weren't even interested in talking to one of them?" she says in an exasperated tone, nearly yelling at me and making everyone on the bus turn and look at us as I turn beet red from the attention.

When we exit the bus to finally enter our one-way ticket to college or hell as most people here seem to think including me, I quickly run away from the crazy person that is my best friend and head to my new locker and grab my schedule. However, of course I am still bothered but this time I don't recognize who it is grabbing one of my shoulders, suddenly I get tense but tell myself to calm down it's not who I think it is.

But, in the end my instincts still kick in and I grab the person's arm from behind and twist it fast, just as I'm about to trip them they yell breaking me out of my trance and giving them a chance to grab my wrists so I can't attack anymore. When I look up expecting a familiar face I'm greeted by one I've never seen before but defiantly one that most certainly wasn't supposed to be here. "Who are you? And let go of me, don't touch me!" I spit out angrily hatred burning in my eyes, as if my morning wasn't depressing enough, the last thing I need is anything else piling on top of my problems.

"Wow, well good morning to you too feisty. I was just going to ask you if you know where my locker number is being new and all here but, I guess not." The handsome stranger says.

What is wrong with him? He said he doesn't want my help anymore and I need to get to my locker but this freaking muscular giant is standing in my way staring at me with a funny expression, "Okay, then why are you still standing here?"

"You know, I just thought we just got off on the wrong foot and you changed your mind" he states as he scratches the back of his neck shrugging, but then arrogantly smirks and says, "Most girls would be delighted to be in your place, so consider yourself lucky and please show where my locker is."

Wow, just wow this self-conceited jerk can't talk to me like this," Who the hell do you think you are talking to me like this, I'm trying really hard to not punch you in the face right now and just so you know I don't consider myself lucky meeting you, much less talking to an arrogant jerk like you, and by the way I hope you never find locker." I add

I push past him and head to my first period class this idiot made me freaking late and now I can't even go to my locker. I check my schedule to see that I have math first I roll my eyes at this and rush to class. I enter the class to see Rachel one of my friends from last year waving at me and telling me to sit next to her with complicated hand gestures. As I sit down she starts deconstructing my appearance with her calculating eyes.

When she finally speaks, she says "Come on, what the hell Haden! You're wearing the biggest hoodie in your closet and ripped jeans on the first day of school!" I look down at my appearance it's true, this is not one of my best outfits not to mention my light brown hair twirled in a messy bun but, in my defense it's comfy, I didn't have a lot of time in the morning, and what do you expect from a me, I train all seven days of the week for the school and a national team, I'm tired and don't have energy to care about what I wear.

I shrug my shoulders and just as I'm about to ask about her summer our teacher enters the classroom and introduces herself in a tone that is too high pitched and chirpy for a rainy Monday morning.

The morning went by as fast as a car with no gas, I think to myself , heading toward the cafeteria. Just as I enter Izzy takes my arm and drags me to our table with the rest of our friends Eddie, Tyler, Bailey, Rachel, and of course Izzy and I. The period goes smoothly, all of us just talking about our summers and what sports we'll do this year but, I can't even finish my thought when I feel a pair of eyes on me. I turn my face to see the same guy from this morning staring back at me with his intense blue eyes, he's talking to the popular kids around him, because of course someone as attractive as him instantly becomes friends with the popular crowd, I roll my eyes at this and turn around. Izzy whispers in my ear, "Why were you staring at the new kid,  Jace?"

"No reason," I mutter. She raises her eyebrows in disbelief but, decides against her better judgment to let the subject go.

When the end of the school day comes around, I shove my way around kids to get to my locker. After elbowing three kids and pushing five I finally make it but, all the color drains from my face seeing who has the one next to mine. I start unlocking it trying to not bring attention to myself but, I know I failed when I feel a pair of lips at my ear, "I found my locker, baby girl,"

"Excuse me? What did you just call me?"

"Oh please you heard what I said and you most defiantly like it, Haden," he states matter-of -factly adding a wink. Only furthering my anger but then I realize, "How do you know my name?"

"Oh um... Dylan told me, " he chuckles nervously.

He knows my name, the captain of our football team? You know what I don't even care. See you tomorrow!" I yell behind me as I'm walking away. Not before hearing, " This isn't the only time you'll see me!" Leaving me to wonder what the meaning behind his words are.

Hey, guys so I know this is probably really bad but believe me it gets better!

Just stay tune, I'll try to update as soon as possible always but my schedule is pretty busy so don't expect a new one each day.
