Chapter 5 Part 1

(Brooklyn's P.O.V)

I had Jenni over to help me get ready and she was all excited with me. I wanted to have a simple elegant look but not go overboard of course. It was already 5:00 only an hour and 30 minutes until Nate to come get me. I was wearing a simple plaid shirt with a blue tank top underneath and jeans. I hope that we weren't going to be so formal and wear a dress and everything because I just wanted to have fun on our first date. I knew that tonight was going to be a great night.

(Nate's P.O.V)

For this date I already knew what was going to happen so I decided to wear just a basic t-shirt, sweatshirt, and jeans. I was hoping Brooklyn would go kind of simple but if she didn't it's fine because she's beautiful both ways. It was already 5:30 and I was all ready and just chilling until 6:00 so I could get to her house on time. Also so I can get to meet her parents a little more and get to know them better. Time seemed to go by so slow, finally after what felt like forever it was 6:00. I made sure I looked decent enough and was on my way. Brooklyn lives 5-10 minutes away from me which I'm glad about.

(Brooklyn's P.O.V)

I was doing my hair which was light curls until I heard the doorbell ring. I was so nervous. My dad answered it and started talking, i ran down the stairs like nobody's business. It was Nate, glad to see he didn't go overboard. I got my shoes and purse then went downstairs.

(Nate's P.O.V)

She walked down the stairs and she loooked beautiful. I already knew by now that I was the lucky one. I stood up to look like a gentleman and I said, "You look beautiful, like always." With a smirk. She blushed and said, "Thanks, you look good too." Now it was my turn to get shy. Yes, I'm not scared to be shy. I asked, "Shall we go?" "We shall." I loved her personality. I let her go first out the door and said good bye to her parents and brother. They said to have her home by 9:00, latest 9:30. I was totally fine with that. We got to the car and I got the door for her, she said, "Thanks, Nate." "No problemo." Did I seriously just say no problemo? Omg, I'm a dork. She's gonna think I'm a geek now.

(Brooklyn's P.O.V)

Haha, I thought it was adorable how he said that, he's just so cute, I can't stop thinking about him. The car ride was so weird so I decided to make conversation and say, "So am I able to know where we are going, or is it a surprise for me?" "Well we are going to start off at Olive Garden, the second place is a surprise for you." "Oh, well, I'll love whatever it is no matter what." I blushed a little after saying that. "That's good, I'm really hoping you'll enjoy what I have planned."

(Nate's P.O.V)

We arrive to Olive Garden and luckily we have a reservation because the place looks packed. I get out the car and open the door for Brooklyn. She thanks me and I lead her the way. We get inside and she says, "Nate this place looks packed, you sure you want to eat here?" She doesn't know that my dad is a rich person but i'm glad she doesn't because then she's looking at me for me, not as someone who's rich, so she's not a gold digger unlike my last girlfriend Savannah. She's a whole nother story. I tell her, "It's okay, I have a reservation for us, what kind of date would I be if I wasn't prepared for this? She laughs. I go up there and say, "Reservation for Daniels?" "Yes, let me assist you this way." We get to our table, I get the chair for Brooklyn and then I go sit in my chair, we get our menus. She orders Tortellini al Forno and I order Tour of Italy which is delightful and amazing. We talked and caught up from what we missed. I learned that she had an ex-boyfriend Mike who cheated on her. I told her about Savannah and that she also cheated on me the funny part is that they both cheated on us with each other. What are the odds." But I'm glad that Savannah and I broke up because she was just a gold digger. I wanted someone who accepted me for me." "I'm glad you told me that Nate, because I would never cheat on you or date you just for money. I love being able to act like myself infront of you, it makes me feel comfortable." "That's good to hear Brooklyn, I really like you, and I would really love it if we could be together, so will you officially be my girlfriend?" "Yes, I definetely will." "That's great, but since we're done, you wanna get heading to our next destination?" "Yes, I am." She smiled, she looks so adorable when she smiles. We left and we headed to Funset.
