When I got back to District 13 I couldn't function. Every lesson I had I snuck out and hid in my secret hiding place which was in a broom closet inside a box. Even though the war was over and I was a supposed hero I was still labeled mentally challenged because all I did was wonder around like a pale ghost that lost her way. "Me? A hero? Not even close! I scoff at myself.

All I did was perform for the camera and get a lucky shot with a bow and arrow.

Not to mention these days all I do is wake up, go to the broom closet, eat lunch, go to closet, go to bed. I stayed in that same same pattern for two months after the war even though everyone from the war had already left to their respective Districts to help them get back on their feet. The leaders at District 13 made me stay behind to show the world my pretty little face to give them hope.

But one ordinary day I was eating lunch when to my surprise Haymitch plopped down in the seat next to me and said, "Hey sweetheart, how have you been?"
