Lost

Chapter 5

School was actually fine for the first time that Sage could remember and her day would only get better. She alwaysed loved it when she spent the night at Clays mainly because his mom and dad were so kind, unlike her's.

And clay was an amazing friend. "Hopefully nothing would happen to Percy while I was gone" She thought. The bell started ringing taking her out of her own thoughts.

"Remember assignments are due on Tuesday" her teacher shouted as all the kids raced out of the class. Nobody ever stayed extra time unless they had to at her school. Frankly It was quite funny seeing them all race out of the room like chickens with their heads cut off.

She waited till everyone had left the room then got up herself. Now she had to find clay in the crowd of people. She decided on waiting outside for him, that was most likely where he would go .

For some reason she had this ache in her stomach like something bad was going to happen soon. Pushing it aside she sat under a tree where she could see when clay left the building.

Opening her bag she found one of her pleasure books and began to read it. A few minutes passed before clay came out he ran over to her grabbing her book. "Jeeves in the morning, haven't you read this book four times already"?

"Yes and it's a great book, and I will read it many more times" Sage said getting up. "Nah don't get up my moms picking us up today" clay said sitting down.

"She'll probably be here soon though. "Okay dude I got a Star Trek book and it's amazing I got to give it to you when I'm done". "You sure do, but knowing you it's going to be two months before you finish" Sage replied with a laugh.

"Oh ye of little faith. I just feel so hurt". "Oh stop being such a drama queen. It's true though you take forever to read books". "True, oh look my moms here. Get up lazy butt". "Who you calling the lazy butt". "Umm well it's a girl about 5'6". "Oh shut up" She said cutting him off.

"You know you love me" he said with a smile. " you like to Think that she said getting in the car. "Hello Mrs. Jones". "Hello, how are you" Mrs bister said with a big smile. "Wonderful,you". "Better now that my favorite kid is here". She said pulling out of the parking lot.

"Wow I'll pretend that I didn't hear that" clay said with a laugh. "Pretend all you want" Sage said pushing clay. "It's true" she continued. "Sure it is" he said pushing her back.

Soon they arrived at C's house and Sage  and him ran up the stairs to his room. "Dinners at 6:00 you can watch the movie after okay" Mrs bister called after them. "Okay mom we won't be late" clay yelled back.

"I got this cool new game and I want us to play that for a bit then we can do school okay" clay said with his puppy eyes. "Fine two hours at the most okay". "Yes" clay said jumping around the room. "Hey you're wasting gaming time" She said turning on the console.

They ended up playing for two hours before they went to school some how thy never ran out of subjects to talk about. They always could talk for hours and even when they got tired of talking they would just sit with each other.

They were like two parts of the same coin. Soon Mrs bister called them for dinner. After of course they watched the movie and didn't end up going to bed tell 1:00 am.

Sage awoke to the smell of bacon sizzling in a skillet. She quickly woke clay up and they both ran down th stairs to see mr bister making breakfast. "Well good morning sleepy heads, there's chocolate chip pancakes over there and I'm almost done with the beacon".

"Thanks dad" Sage and clay said simultaneously. "You're welcome, oh I'll be taking you guys to school so you're in no rush" mr bister said turning off the stove.

Breakfast was amazing and so was the small amount of time that c and Sage  played in the backyard. Mr bister called them in and off they went to school. Knowing that once the day was over she would have to go back to her family made her all the more not want this day to end.

But the day would end a lot quicker then expected for Her.
