"You're the new girl right?" One of them asks.

"Well I prefer to be called Hayley but sure, I'm the new girl. And you are?" I ask.

"Amelia." She replies. "And this is Ashley, Rosie and Marianna."

"And the rest of the cheerleading squad is where? I thought you guys liked to travel in a pack-"

"Like wolves." She finishes.

"I was going to say more like ants but okay." I smile.

"Feisty, I like it. I'm about to give you a one time offer."

"Is this the I can join you at lunch offer or the I'm aloud to join the team offer?" I question, crossing my arms.

"It's the-"

"Oh wait." I interrupt. "I don't care, either one I decline."

"If you think you can speak to me like that then you have another thing coming." She hisses, taking a step closer and squaring up to me.

"What are you going to do? Slap me?" I question, by now a few people are looking over at us. Slowly a crowd beginning to form.

Quickly, Amelia draws her hand up but I grab her wrist before she can make contact with my face. "When you play with fire you're going to get burnt." She warns.

"Original line." I retort, throwing her hand away.

"You'll never see what's coming." Amelia snaps.

"Actually I will because I don't apply half a gallon of pink eyeshadow to my eyes everyday." I smile.

"I get the feeling eyeliner is more you thing."

"Wow! Is that the first correct thing you've ever said?" I ask with a gasp.

Along with everyone else I watch as rage builds up inside of her, her cheeks turn red as she can't figure out a comeback. "Everyone here has learnt not to mess with me, if I have to teach you that as well then so be it." She snaps.

"No Amelia, you don't have to teach it to me because there was a girl like you at my old school. I put her in her place as well. You think you can treat people how ever you want, but how far can you push people before there's a reckoning and I may be it."

"Lets go." She says to her little squad before pushing through the crowd of people circling us.

The circle remains whole for a few minutes as some people look at me but soon enough it turns into a half circle, then a quarter before it fades away completely.

"Wow." A guy with black hair says, walking over to us. "When you said she was bad you weren't kidding, were you?"

"Nope." Val replies. "Hayley this is Jason."

"You've been here almost two hours and you've already gotten a reputation for yourself." He chuckles.

"Well I'm nothing if not direct." I smile. "Speaking of being direct, are you guys a thing or...?"

"No." Jason answers.

"Just friends." Val adds.

"Hayley." I hear my brother call, I turn to see him stood by some lockers.

"He's so hot. Who is he?" Val asks.

"Ew, he's not hot he's my brother." I reply.

"What does he want?" Jason asks.

"Probably to give me lecture." I sigh before reluctantly walking over to him.
