Nobody knew what nor how the Titans came to be. All everyone knew was that humanity was on the brink of extinction with them alive.

The government was doing their best to fight the beasts, in any way possible for humanity to live on.

Scientists gathered to find solutions to the problem. A female biologist named Hanji, had been observing both species to find similarities and differences. She was the one who proposed to attempt the experiment which was later called the Wings of Freedom.

No matter how they assured the citizens that the plan would go well, nobody had the will to fight at all, after losing so many loved ones before their eyes.

When the government pledged to use any means possible to get rid of the Titans, they meant it. Selecting random physically strong people from the street and erasing all their memories were not much problem. They had made humans into obedient robots to fight these creatures.

Eren was amongst those picked citizens, along with Mikasa, Armin, Jean, Marco, Connie and many others of his middle school classmates.

Most of the chosen ones were teenagers. Eren's group were one of the first to have gone through the experiments.

Each individual were tested painful experiments and each felt as though they were in prison. The group of friends, mainly Eren, were angered each time a new person came into the facility. The citizens they pick out were starting to change from teenagers to young adults, them adults.

Eren cursed out loud as they group were thrown back into their cell one night. 'Why the **** are we even here?!'

'Calm down, Eren. You'll anger the guards.' Mikasa assured the brunette. Her voice was calm, but she was boiling in anger as well.

'I'm hungry.......' Sasha quietly mumbled, placing a hand on her grumbling stomach.

Jean clicked his tongue in anger. 'First they kidnap us for things we didn't sign up for. They don't give us food, no information, no nothing. Something is wrong with these people.

'How are the victims doing?' A voice from outside their bright cell was heard. The group of friends were smart enough to keep quiet and eavesdrop on the conversation.

'The new cells should sprout all at once if I'm not mistaken. Then all we'll need to do is wipe their memories.'

Their eyes widened in horror.

'Erase.... our memories.....?' Connie repeated, shaking in fear.

Armin curled up into a ball in a corner of the small room. 'What did we do to deserve this.......'

'We were just middle schoolers a few months ago......' Jean sighed. Eren clenched his fists and shook uncontrollably as Jean continued, 'This is the end for us then.......'

Eren stood up from his bed. 'We still need to fight till the end. We're not giving up now. We'll decide it's the end when it's near. For now, let's stay as a team and fight.'

Everyone smiled at the brunette.

'Of course.'

Then, it happened.

Marco was the first to experience it. He started shaking and screaming while curling into a ball on the cold floor.
