A Beautiful Mistake (Finchel baby story)

Morning sickness

-Monday at Glee-

Rachel POV

I walked into glee holding Finns hand which earned me a dirty look from Quinn.

"Ok guys sectionals are this week, were going to have Rachel and Finn sing Don't Stop believing, Artie and Mercedes will have the leads in Proud Mary and we will have auditions for the ballad." Mr.Shue said

"Ok let's start with Finn and Rachel." Mr.Shue said and me and Finn took our places

"A singer in a smokey room" Finn sang

"The smell of wine and cheap perfume." I sang

"For a smile they can share the night it goes on and on and on and on." We both sang. But before I could continue I had to throw up.

I covered my mouth and ran to the bathroom.

Finn POV

Rachel ran out of the choir room. morning sickness. I wanted to run after her but I can't.

"Finn is she ok?" Mr.Shue asked

"Ya can I talk to privately?" I asked

"Sure." He responded and we walked into the hallway.

"Rachel's fine but there is going to be something off about her for a while." I said

"What's wrong? What's going to be off?" He asked

I tried to tell him but I couldn't. Other than Burt, Mr.Shue was the closest thing I have that like a father.

I decided to take the picture from my pocket and hand it to him.

He was very confused but once he understood he hugged me.

"I get it." He said

"Thanks." I said "and could you not tell anyone because Rachel doesn't want anyone to know yet." I asked

"Ya that's fine." He said as we walked back into the rehearsal.

When I walked in I noticed Rachel was done throwing up.

"Hey you ok?" I asked her

"Ya it's just our lovely baby." She whispered

"I told Mr.Shue." I said

"And?" She asked

"He said he understood." I said

We both stood up and started singing and dancing again.

After rehearsal we finished the rest of the school day and went back home.

I dropped Rachel off and went to football practice.

As I walked into the locker room Puck came and tackled me.

"Dude what was up with Rachel in glee?" He asked me

"What do you mean? She was fine." I asked

"Yes because running out of the room to puke is fine?" He asked

"She just ate something bad last night." I said trying not to sound like I was lying.

After that we walked onto the field and began practice.

Rachel POV

"So how are you doing?" Carol asked me

"I'm good other than the morning sickness." I said

"I know but it gets better." She reassured me

"I hope so." I said

"Did you guys find out the gender yet?" She asked

"No the doctor said we should be able to in a couple weeks for the 3 month appointment." I said

"Oh before I forget I have something for you." She said

"You didn't have to!" I say

"Well I guess it's not really for you more for the baby but here." She said handing me a yellow bag.

I pulled out at small white planet.

"It was Finns when he was little, until he started 1st grade he wouldn't go anywhere without it. I thought the baby could use it." She said

"It's beautiful. I love it. Thank you." I said hugging her

"I'm tired so I'm just gonna go lay down." I said walking upstairs

I was just scrolling through Facebook when Finn jumped on the bed next to me.

"Whatcha doin?" He asked

"Nothing." I said

I grabbed the blanket and held it.

"Where did you get that?" He asked sounding embarrassed

"Your mom gave it to me for the baby." I said

"Maybe our son or daughter won't save the house without it until the start 1st grade too." I said laughing

"Hey I loved this blanket." He said

"I know and our baby will too." I said kissing him

"Ya our baby." He said
