Ah. The colorful box, the box that has contained generation after generation of wasted talent. Almost every day of my life I have been faced with the haunting statement "black people don't do that". Whether it was making good grades in school or all the way don't to something as simple as drinking Starbucks. You see the problem is the fact that African-Americans have lived up to the stereotypes that our ancestors have raged on and on about. One big example is the word "nigga", decade after decade blacks have been dealing with that word being used in such a harsh way. Now the new generation including whites use the word more than hello. Now I realize some would say "well if everybody says it then we have gotten past it" where some of this is true, we have gotten past it but we can't forget it completely, it is a known fact that when we forget we re-live. So at this rate by 2020 racism will be back in full blast, to where if we used the opportunity that we have now by having so many races in the CEO and front office of huge companies can, we have more of an even playing field then what our parents and grandparents had to go through.
