Edward meets me outside the gates in front of the school, dark ringlets lay under his eyes. We walk towards homeroom, we walk side by side, the eerie silence unnerves me, I was the one who was threatened. BRING! BRING! The sound of my phone interrupts the silence,
Phone:
Unknown number: You know what will do to your sister if you tell anyone.
Unknown number: We know where you live and where you go to school.
"Who was that?" Edward asks.
"No one, why you are being nosey big bro?" I reply.
"Will, you know Jenny and you should move in with me." He stops walking and looks at me with his face stone cold. "I know dad won't agree, but he is often out and you're not a grown up yet. You take care of Jenny better than dad ever could. He is out late at work and he would understand if you did" I watch my brother, of course I want to move in with him. But I can't he would notice my scares and the wounds painted on my back.
Yes, of course. After years of you asking I will. Though all I can cough out is, "Dad would be devastated."
"The offer remains open." He sighs looking down at his sneakers, his eyes wonder to my hands. I remember the wounds and quickly shove them in my pockets, even though it sends discomfort up my arms. With a quick movement, Edward has my hands out from my pocket and placed in front of his eyes. He looks them over once and looks at me. His face expresses lots of different emotions, confusion, shock and the worse anger. "Where are these from?" He asks shoving my hands in front of my face. "What happened?" He looks at me like he had seen a foul scene roll out in front of his face.
